Role:Contract

• Writing 80-90 articles per month (features, listicles, news or independently-sourced interviews)
  

• Working with a team of writers to ideate topics, developing a focused, data-driven content strategy with the Content Manager, and providing direction to new content ideas.
  

• Review content for factual accuracy and general accuracy of grammar and context. Ensuring that content is written as per Sportskeeda’s guidelines & checking spellings, grammar & scope of the text
  

• Pitch story ideas and assist the vertical lead with content strategy/plan for events.
  

• Track topics around the NFL via Google Trends and other tools
  

• All news within the shift should be covered within the mentioned time and nothing should be left for the next shift.
  

• Help with sourcing stories via podcasts, shows and tier 1 news outlets 
  

• Stay updated with the latest news and developments around the NFL.
  

• Provide any other content-related assistance that may be required for any other articles/static pages
  

• Help in growing the NFL section of Sportskeeda.
  

Requirements

• Candidates with prior reasonable experience (2-4 years) covering/writing about the NFL or College Football should apply.
  

• Content strategy, editing and topic ideation is a must-have skill.
  

• Staying updated with recent developments in and around the NFL - players, coaches, teams (especially top teams), etc.
  

• In-depth game knowledge – especially on tactics, trade movements, salary caps for teams, fantasy football and player contracts
  

• Knowledge of betting odds, spreads, and other match odds is a plus
  

• A personal network across the NFL ecosystem (players, coaches, etc.) is a plus
  

• Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently as well as within a team.
