Brianna Michelle Design is seeking a highly detail-oriented and personable Interior Design Associate to join their intimate yet dynamic team. The role involves collaborating on comprehensive home transformations, from full renovations to complete furnishing. Responsibilities include coordinating with the design team, curating design selections (furniture, flooring, artwork, fabrics, finishes, etc.), providing design solutions, creating AutoCAD drawings, managing project forecasts and deadlines, communicating project expectations, conducting site visits, placing and tracking orders, presenting design ideas confidently, and participating in FF&E installations. The ideal candidate will support organizational growth and contribute positively to the team culture.
Must have:
  • 4+ years of experience in the field
  • Bachelors of Interior Design
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD
  • Ability to use Apple software
  • Strong verbal and written communication

Job Description

Our design firm specializes in comprehensive home transformations — managing everything from full renovations to complete furnishing. We are committed to excellence in every aspect of our work. We are seeking a Design Associate who is articulate, personable, and highly detail-oriented. This individual will collaborate closely with our team to achieve project goals while maintaining clear and professional communication with contractors and vendors. Key strengths include:

  • Coordinating and collaborating with design team
  • Curating and evaluating comprehensive design selections, including furniture, flooring, artwork, fabrics and finishes, drapery, tile, lighting, millwork, cabinetry, hardware, and paint.
  • Providing design solutions throughout project phases
  • Creating AutoCAD drawings of floor plans and elevations for furniture, lighting, and artwork
  • Managing and tracking project forecasts while meeting deadline expectations
  • Communicating project expectations with team members
  • Conducting site visits as needed, with excellent client service
  • Creating, placing, and following up on orders
  • Presenting design ideas and details with confidence and enthusiasm
  • Participating in FF&E installations
  • Supporting the growth of the organization by contributing to the team culture and overall goals

Qualifications

  • At least 4+ years in the field
  • Bachelors of Interior Design in CIDA accredited program
  • Creative residential design experience, high-end residential is a plus
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is required
  • Ability to use Apple softwares
  • Ability to take initiative, and to be a team player 
  • Exhibits a committed work ethic
  • Fosters and maintains a positive attitude
  • Competency to plan, execute, and complete projects effectively and efficiently.
  • Careful and attentive with details
  • Ability prioritize tasks and meet timelines for multiple projects
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, sometimes high-pressure environment
