The Director, Chief People & Culture Officer (CPCO) Initiatives supports the CPCO in driving strategic People & Culture initiatives. Responsibilities include leading and managing HR project execution, advising the CPCO, managing projects and tasks, collaborating with P&C COE Leads, developing project plans, providing operational support, acting as a liaison with other departments, building strong relationships with senior leaders, facilitating communication, supporting initiatives to enhance employee engagement and culture, preparing materials for executive meetings, managing the CPCO's time, providing regular updates, identifying opportunities for improvement, handling sensitive information, and ensuring adherence to HR policies. The ideal candidate has 8+ years of experience in HR, organizational development, project management, strategic operations, or executive support, with a proven track record of managing complex initiatives and working with senior leadership teams.

Director, Chief People & Culture Officer Initiatives

The Director, Chief People & Culture Officer (CPCO) Initiatives plays a pivotal role in supporting the Chief People & Culture Officer in driving strategic People & Culture related initiatives across the organization. This position is designed for an organized, results-oriented professional who will oversee the execution and management of key projects, support day-to-day operations, and ensure alignment between People & Culture, leadership, and organizational goals. The Director will act as a trusted partner to the CPCO, providing operational and strategic support, while also driving efforts that shape and enhance the company’s culture and employee experience. This role will be based in New York with travel.  

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Lead and manage the execution of HR and people-related projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and in alignment with business priorities. 
  • Provide advisement to the Chief People & Culture Officer on key projects and initiatives. 
  • Manage and organize projects and tasks, triage issues and requests, and support with time management for CPCO.  
  • Work closely with P&C COE Leads including EVP, P&C Operations and GVP, P&C Transformation & Org Effectiveness on initiatives for the CPCO. 
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans for CPCO tracking key milestones, deliverables, and resources. 
  • Provide operational support for People & Culture initiatives and programs, ensuring smooth execution across departments. 
  • Act as the liaison between the CPCO’s office and other key departments (e.g., Corporate Communications and Legal) to drive alignment and ensure smooth execution of people initiatives. 
  • Build strong relationships with senior leaders and People & Culture team members to understand their priorities and offer proactive support on strategic projects. 
  • Facilitate communication across the organization to ensure alignment on key People & Culture priorities.  
  • Support the development and implementation of initiatives designed to enhance employee engagement, culture, and foster a positive work environment. 
  • Assist the CPCO in preparing materials for executive meetings and board meetings, including reports, presentations, and updates on the progress of key initiatives. 
  • Manage and prioritize the CPCO’s time and commitments, ensuring they are focused on high-priority initiatives. 
  • Provide regular updates to the CPCO on the status of projects, challenges, and opportunities for improvement. 
  • Help identify opportunities and provide recommendations to improve team performance and alignment with business goals. 
  • Handle sensitive HR and organizational information with the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism. 
  • Ensure adherence to HR policies, legal requirements, and internal standards, providing support as needed for compliance and audits. 

Experience: 

  • 8+ years of experience in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related function, with experience in project management, strategic operations, or executive support. 
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex initiatives and working with senior leadership teams. 
  • Experience in supporting people and culture strategies such as DEI, talent management, and employee engagement. 
  • Chief of Staff or Lead HR Project Management experience would be a plus.

  • Project Management: Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and meet deadlines.

  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and tailor messages to various audiences. 
  • Problem-solving: Strong critical thinking skills, with the ability to identify problems, analyze data, and propose actionable solutions. 
  • Collaboration: Team-oriented with an ability to build relationships across functions and at all levels of the organization. 
  • Data Analysis: Experience in gathering, analyzing, and presenting HR and organizational data to drive strategic decisions. 
  • Confidentiality: High degree of professionalism and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information.

Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $145,250.00 - $269,750.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
