As the Director of Analytics, you will lead PlayStation Studios’ Data Analytics teams, delivering reporting and insights that inform Game Development, Live Service Management, and Marketing. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Insights & Personalization, you will work closely with Analytics Engineering, Development teams, User Research, Product Management, Marketing, and PlayStation leadership. Your team will collaborate across the organization to provide trusted, data-informed insights that drive decision-making. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Lead a team to deliver actionable insights and reliable reporting in a fast-paced, international environment with competing stakeholders and priorities. 

  • Work with the Sr. Director to define the Game Analytics team’s goals and roadmap for a multi-studio portfolio. 

  • Provide executive-level reporting on team performance against goals, escalating risks and blockers when necessary. 

  • Collaborate with Analytics Engineering to define requirements for the analytics platform. 

  • Partner with Product Management and User Research to develop and execute measurement strategies for games at all stages, including defining KPIs for success. 

  • Build strong relationships with studio and platform partners to effectively manage a central service. 

  • Lead the team in extracting actionable insights from data to inform strategic decisions. 

  • Clearly communicate complex data insights to both game development teams and senior leadership, enabling data-driven decisions at all levels. 

  • Collaborate with the Sr. Director and your Project Manager for resource planning and allocation to ensure the team is properly staffed and aligned with priorities. 

  • Establish tools, processes, and a framework for continuous improvement, including transparent request intake and prioritization. 

  • Identify opportunities to create cost efficiencies in team operations. 

  • Mentor and develop your team, providing opportunities for growth and career development. 

Requirements: 

  • Proven experience leading a team of analysts supporting multiple stakeholders in a live service environment (preferably in gaming, but relevant experience in industries like e-commerce will be considered). 

  • Deep knowledge of Game Analytics best practices, technologies, and measurement strategies. 

  • Experience developing testing frameworks and KPIs for new products. 

  • Ability to translate business reporting, analysis, and statistics into clear, actionable insights. 

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, develop, and inspire a high-performing team. 

  • Ability to identify, champion, and develop forward-looking Game Analytics capabilities that will serve PlayStation’s vision. 

  • Knowledge of cloud analytics technology and data warehousing to support efficient reporting and modeling (e.g., AWS, GCP, SQL, visualization tools, ML pipelines). 

  • Experience designing tracking solutions for new products, features, and systems. 

  • Expertise in marketing attribution analysis, digital media measurement, brand awareness, and social listening. 

  • Strong collaboration skills to build effective partnerships and influence change across the organization.
