Mimecast is a global leader in enterprise information management and protection. What You’ll Do
As the Director of Quality Assurance in IT, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the quality assurance function and leading a team of skilled QA professionals. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leadership & Team Management:
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to both manual and automation testing teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
- Mentor and develop team members, empowering them to grow their skills and deliver exceptional results.
- Recruit, retain, and inspire top QA talent to build a high-performing team.
- Quality Assurance Strategy:
- Define, implement, and continuously improve QA strategies, methodologies, and best practices to ensure thorough coverage and efficiency.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure and report on software quality and team performance.
- Drive the adoption of automation testing frameworks and tools to accelerate test cycles and improve coverage.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including Business Systems Engineering, Product Management, Data Integration & Operations and Business Analysis to ensure seamless integration of QA processes.
- Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, providing insights, risk assessments, and recommendations to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Advocate for quality at every stage of the SDLC, from requirements gathering to production deployment.
- Testing & Tools:
- Oversee the testing of all business systems and applications, including but not limited to NetSuite, Salesforce, and other business systems.
- Ensure comprehensive test coverage across functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
- Lead the evaluation and implementation of QA tools and technologies to enhance team productivity and effectiveness.
- Foster innovation by staying up to date with the latest trends and advancements in QA tools, techniques, and methodologies.
- Operational Excellence:
- Ensure QA processes are scalable, efficient, and aligned with Mimecast’s growth and technology strategy.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize workflows and eliminate inefficiencies.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including test plans, test cases, and reports, to ensure transparency and traceability.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks, ensuring smooth and timely delivery of IT solutions.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven Leadership Experience:
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire QA teams, with a track record of success managing both manual and automation testing teams.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and foster a culture of collaboration.
- Extensive QA Expertise:
- Deep understanding of quality assurance principles, methodologies, and tools.
- Experience designing and implementing automation frameworks and driving adoption within teams.
- Strong knowledge of testing strategies for business systems such as NetSuite, Salesforce, and other similar business systems.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Hands-on experience with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Virtuoso, TestNG, or similar) and scripting languages.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integration of QA processes into DevOps workflows.
- Solid understanding of cloud environments and modern software development practices.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills:
- Ability to assess complex systems and identify areas for improvement in quality and performance.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Adaptability & Growth Mindset:
- A proactive and adaptable approach to challenges, with a willingness to embrace new tools, technologies, and methodologies.
