How We LEAD:

Universal Music Group is currently seeking a Director, Sync and Licensing position in our Nashville, TN office location.

How You'll CREATE:

  • Manage and oversee synch for CCMG roster.
  • Creatively pitch, identify and secure new synch opportunities for CCMG sync catalog to meet yearly revenue goals
  • Work closely with the SVP of A&R for CCMG, Universal Music licensing team, brand partnerships, as well as other key project stakeholders to create timely opportunities around sync catalog.
  • Partner with broader synch team at UMPG  to develop and implement tactics for client outreach, while developing and growing relationships with existing clients. 
  • Develop and execute strategy to develop new client opportunities
  • Work closely with CCMG creative teams to curate new sync focused copyrights and help to execute two sync writing camps a year.
  • Work closely with artists, publishers and artist representatives to ensure synch initiatives align with artist objectives

Bring Your VIBE:

  • 7-10 years experience in sync industry with deep relationships in both LA and NYC
  • 5 years experience in a commercial music sync licensing capacity
  • Exemplary knowledge of music licensing intricacies
  • Expertise in communicating to artists and helping to teach them how to write for the synch space.
  • Detail-oriented, ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage a high volume workload
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Position is located in Nashville, TN. Candidate must be willing to work from this location.
