Job Description

As a Dyno Test Technician at Tesla's Tilburg laboratory, you'll be a key member of the Reliability Team, responsible for setting up, maintaining, and executing component-level tests. This role involves conducting test fixtures, performing comprehensive tests (including setup, inspections, maintenance, and retrofits), collaborating with engineering teams to resolve mechanical and electrical issues, and providing detailed updates on test status. You'll also support instrumentation and data acquisition, maintain test equipment, and mentor other technicians. The ideal candidate has experience as an engineering, service, or manufacturing technician, is comfortable in a dynamic automotive environment, and possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience with fabrication and/or electrical equipment is preferred, along with excellent communication skills in English. Compute knowledge (Linux scripting or Python) is a plus.

The role is based in Tesla Test Laboratory in Tilburg (Netherlands).

What You’ll Do

Conduct test fixtures for various projects.
Execute comprehensive tests, including setup, detailed inspections, maintenance, and retrofits.
Collaborate with engineering teams to address mechanical and electrical issues.
⁠Deliver detailed written and verbal updates on test status to key stakeholders.
Support engineering teams in instrumentation and data acquisition setup and logging.
Maintain general test equipment actively to ensure optimal functionality.
Support and mentor other technicians to help develop the team.

What You’ll Bring

Experience as an engineering, service or manufacturing technician.
Willingness to learn a dynamic automotive environment.
Experience with fabrication equipment (e.g. Band Saw, Drill Press) or electrical equipment (harnesses, power supplies etc.).
Analytical problem-solving skills & root cause analysis.
Adept at managing competing demands, and meeting tight deadlines effectively with attention to detail.
Excellent written & verbal communication skills in English.
Compute knowledge is a plus: Linux based script writing or some Python experience highly preferred.
