About the job:
As an Engineering Manager, Networking at Google, you'll be responsible for leading a team of engineers responsible for building and maintaining Google's global network infrastructure. You'll work closely with other technical leaders to define and execute the strategic direction for the team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and reliable networking solutions. In this role, you'll also be responsible for the development and career management of your team members, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 8 years of experience with software development
  • 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role
  • 2 years of experience in a people management role
  • Experience in system design, software development, and distributed systems
Good to have:
  • Experience in large-scale distributed systems
  • Experience in networking and network architecture
  • Experience in network infrastructure and software-defined networking

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java).
  • 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing projects, with 2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.
  • Experience in system design, software development, and distributed systems.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in large-scale distributed systems.
  • Experience in networking and network architecture.
  • Experience in network infrastructure and software-defined networking.
