Job Description

As an Engineering Manager, you will lead and manage this growing team driving technical excellence and empowering Google to build amazing products. Responsibilities include setting and communicating team priorities that support the broader organization's goals, aligning strategy, processes, and decision-making across teams, designing, implementing, extending, and supporting the infrastructure for building services using Kotlin and Java, collaborating with teammates across the organization to deliver infrastructure improvements, and triaging system issues and debugging/tracking/resolving by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on service operations and quality.

Must have:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
8 years of experience with software development in Java or Kotlin languages
8 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products
1 year of experience with software design and architecture
5 years of experience in a technical leadership role
2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role

Good to have:

Experience with developing infrastructure or making contributions to a code base
Experience with Spring Boot
Passion for API design and for building infrastructure

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience with software development in Java or Kotlin languages, and with data structures/algorithms.
8 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
5 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing projects, with 2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience with developing infrastructure or making contributions to a code base.
Experience with Spring Boot.
Passion for API design and for building infrastructure.
