Summary

The Field Service Technician II is responsible for all activities at casino sites in Winnipeg and surrounding areas. This includes installation, troubleshooting (to the component/circuit level), maintenance, and upgrades of IGT gaming devices. The role requires proficiency in diagnosing and solving problems, both remotely and on-site. Responsibilities encompass pre-installation assessments, system installations (telephonic, ethernet, wireless), hardware/software conversions, preventative maintenance, and responding to customer issues. Strong troubleshooting skills and experience with IGT equipment are essential. The technician will represent IGT at customer sites, maintaining positive client relationships and adhering to compliance policies.
Must have:

Overview

The Field Service Technician is autonomous and responsible for all activities at casino sites in Winnipeg and surrounding areas. Preparation, installation, troubleshooting to the component/circuit level. Servicing remotely, and onsite, with the ability to diagnose and solve problems. Install, maintain, upgrade and convert IGT gaming devices, while representing IGT at the customer sites and maintaining a positive relationship with clients. Adapt to various jurisdictions and adhere to compliance policies.

Responsibilities

Performs troubleshooting, maintenance, preventive maintenance and installation of gaming equipment and communication devices used at casino locations
-Makes pre-installation site assessments to identify parts and wiring requirements at customer location
-Performs all preparation tests including assurance hardware, firmware and system interfaces are accurate and functional
-Delivers and installs products at customer sites
-Installs system to system telephonic, ethernet and wireless (S2S)
-Installs game to system telephonic, ethernet and wireless (G2S)
-Installs game to game and bank to bank, telephonic, ethernet and wireless (G2G)
-Carries out assigned portion of hardware and software conversions and upgrades
-Performs planned and preventative maintenance
-Responds to customer issues for games and system interface
-Supports software and system integration verification tests for jackpots
-Performs accurate and timely tracking and reporting on activities utilizing SAP and other software tools

Qualifications

*High school diploma or equivalent required
*2-4 years of experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing electronics, electro- mechanical, telecom or computer equipment required preferable with IGT equipment and gaming system products
*Experience with AC/DC fundamentals
*Reading and translating wiring diagrams
*Maintaining, repairing and troubleshooting to component/circuit level
*Testing programs with verification devices such as Kobetron and Chip Comparator
*Troubleshooting with input and output tests

Special Requirements:
*Valid driver license and clean driving record
*Able to obtain a Gaming License
*Must be at least 21 years of age
*Able to lift 50 lbs. or more
*Pass a background check
*Work overtime as required
*Available to work on weekends
*Able to stand for an eight-hour shift
*Ability to travel and provide support as required
