HR Assistant / Coordinator

We are a crowdfunded company and have a dedicated and enthusiastic community of backers who are helping us create the “Best Damn Space Sim Ever”. We want to build the best we can deliver and we believe wholeheartedly in the value of exceptional diverse talent.

We are looking for a HR Assistant / Coordinator (all genders) to join our small HR team working onsite at our studio in Frankfurt on a part-time basis (20 hours).

It’s so important for us to ensure that everyone has the best onboarding and employee experience possible, which is exactly where you come in. In this administrative and service-orientated role, you will be handling topics from onboarding to offboarding. You’ll be the first point of contact for HR queries, so you will be a key link in the chain for daily HR processes and support for the local and global HR team.

What does a HR Assistant / Coordinator do?

• You will coordinate and respond to incoming requests, e.g. via our ticket system.
• In the area of personnel administration, you will prepare all kind of job changes and contract documents and ensure that all HR systems and reports are up to date. This also includes recording and further processing absences in the system. If required, you will also create HR-relevant evaluations and statistics.
• As part of the monthly payroll process, you will review and prepare all the necessary documents and coordinate with our service provider.
• During onboarding, you are an important support for our new team members. You ensure that all new team members feel comfortable and settled with us from the very beginning. To do this, you prepare all the important documents and support them in the first few weeks after they join.
• You check the requirements for hiring from abroad, coordinate and prepare documents for the authorities (visas, etc.) and provide relocation support.

What do we expect from our HR Assistant / Coordinator?

• You have relevant professional experience within a similar HR role incl. solid foundation in German labour law and German payroll.
• You have a strong ability to utilise HCM systems with precision, ideally with Workday.
• You have already gained experience in the area of onboarding and relocation.
• With fluent German and English skills in both written and spoken, you can handle both local and global topics.
• You are committed to providing a helpful, professional and responsive HR service and are used to organising and prioritising tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
