Job Description

As a Content Producer at Cloud Imperium Games, you'll support Senior Producers in delivering content across all areas of production. You'll manage day-to-day operations of content teams, collaborating heavily with the Leadership Team. Responsibilities include driving content initiatives, assisting 3D art teams, leading multidisciplinary teams on time-boxed projects, identifying and resolving risks, championing efficient practices, and maintaining a positive team environment. A deep understanding of the game and its development is crucial. The role requires proactive problem-solving and collaboration with various disciplines.
Must have:
  • Experience in AAA game production
  • Proficient in project management
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities
  • Deep understanding of game development pipelines

As a Content Producer you will be responsible for supporting the Senior Producers with the successful delivery of Content, working globally across all areas of production and collaborating heavily with the Leadership Team. You'll essentially be in charge of the day-to-day running of Content teams and initiatives. 
 

Founded in 2012, Cloud Imperium Games creates cutting-edge videogames that defy expectations. We’re currently developing Star Citizen, a record-breaking multiplayer online space sim, and Squadron 42, a cinematic single-player adventure set in the same universe. What do our Content Producers do? 

  • Drive and champion Content initiatives by collaborating with the Direction group to track and deliver features at an excellent level of quality on time. 

  • Help 3D Environment Art, Lighting and Organic teams in their day-to-day requests and standups. 

  • Lead the delivery of time-boxed multidisciplinary teams working on content initiatives under a tight schedule by assembling the necessary team, breaking down the work, scheduling, and following up on the delivery while ensuring the team is efficient and well-tasked. 

  • Identify, communicate, and resolve any risks and changes that may prevent the team from delivering on time or quality 

  • Anticipates and solves problems independently and collaboratively while developing collaborative relationships 

  • Champion efficient practices and processes to the team, whilst providing motivation and ensuring a healthy team relationship 

  • Play and know the game inside and out and understand the impact of new features in development 

What would we expect from our Gameplay Producer? 

  • Proactive attitude with mindset for streamlining and improvement 

  • Prior experience working in AAA game productions specially in the world content. 

  • Confident working on highly technical and complex art projects, and eager to learn daily about the work. 

  • Familiar with the process of creating gameplay content and have prior experience working with design and art-oriented disciplines and their pipelines. 

  • Highly proficient with standard project management development tools and methodologies. 

  • Expert in WBD, Scheduling, Resource Management and Team Allocation.

About The Company

Cloud Imperium Games is a new kind of independent studio dedicated to delivering AAA experiences outside the established publisher system, founded by Chris Roberts, creator of the best selling Wing Commander and Freelancer series, Cloud Imperium is currently developing Star Citizen, a record-shattering crowd funded title that combines classic space sim gameplay with Hollywood-caliber visuals.
