Job Description

Next Level Games seeks a Producer to guide and support technical development and support teams. Responsibilities include partnering with design and art leadership, collaborating on vision and roadmap development, managing tasks and schedules (sprint, milestone, and long-term), providing updates to stakeholders, facilitating problem-solving and cross-team collaboration, overseeing feature development, and identifying areas for improvement. The ideal candidate has experience managing design initiatives and shipping console games, possesses strong communication skills, thrives in collaborative settings, and is familiar with various production methodologies.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

We are looking for a Producer to join our team at Next Level Games. The Producer will provide guidance and support for technical development and support teams. You will work with engineers, technical artists, and designers to deliver games that put smiles on the faces of people around the world. Key responsibilities of the role include: 
 
  • Partner with the Level Design and Level Art leadership team to understand and balance priorities and project requirements.  
  • Collaborate with Directors and Leads to develop and communicate the vision and roadmap for specific areas  
  • Gather requirements and break down the product vision and high-level goals into tasks and actionable plans; maintain the task tracking database  
  • Create short (sprint), medium (milestone) and long term (project) schedules and plans, and track progress.  
  • Provide visibility and create clarity by providing updates to stakeholders and external partners, and keeping the team informed of the current goals and latest changes.   
  • Facilitate creative problem solving to assist your teams(s) to overcome obstacles, eliminate blockers, and devise effective and efficient development strategies 
  • Facilitate cross-team collaboration and discussions so that teams can work effectively towards ambitious goals  
  • Oversee the development of features from concept to completion and ensure the successful completion of tasks and goals. 
  • Identify areas of improvement and work with the team to strategize alternate solutions. 


WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Experience managing design initiatives and teams.  
  • Shipped at least one console game titles and/or 2-4 years of experience as a Producer in games. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently across teams and disciplines. 
  • Open to feedback and thrives in a collaborative environment. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. 

YOU SET YOURSELF ABOVE WITH:

  • Experience using Jira, and Confluence  
  • Experience unifying teams and driving towards a common goal.  
  • Experience with different production methodologies (waterfall, agile, devops, etc.) 
  • Familiarity with all aspects of game development (design, art, and engineering)  
  • Passion for video games

This is a hybrid position, requiring at least three days per week at our Vancouver studio.

The hiring range for this position is $66,000 - $105,000 CAD annually and is subject to change. The final base salary compensation will be based on factors such as skills, education, and experience.
