We're looking for a talented Jr. Graphic Designer to join our Art Machine team! This entry-level role requires candidates to demonstrate basic concepting and design skills, photo compositing and manipulation abilities, as well as the ability to convey complex messages through images, graphics, and typography. They assist and support creative leads and teams throughout various stages of the design process, while also being provided opportunities for learning and growth.
DUTIES/ASSIGNMENTS:
Support design team in all facets of the design process.
- Assist with comp assignments.
- Masking
- Shot selection
- Comp setup
- Artwork adaptations
- Art changes and copy revisions
- Design and prepare client presentations.
- Assist with pulling effective client-facing scrap/reference for presentations.
- Prep digital files and shot maps upon client approval for final delivery.
- Logo/title treatment design.
- Opportunities to conceptualize and execute comps during downtime.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Little to no industry experience with potential in creating and executing premium key art for film, television and streaming projects.
- A relevant online portfolio or PDF of work showcasing strong conceptual abilities, design skills, and knowledge of typography.
- Basic knowledge of design principles such as composition, lighting and typography.
- Good understanding of the creative process.
- Able to follow creative briefs.
- Ability to articulate creative ideas to a group of your peers.
- Comfortable initiating conversations with peers and seeking collaboration to enhance learning and development.
- Takes direction and constructive feedback well.
- Can perform assigned tasks in a timely and productive manner.
- Knowledge of Mac OS and proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop and Illustrator required.
- A positive attitude that fosters a collaborative environment.
This is a full-time position. Please note this role requires a hybrid schedule working onsite 2-3 times a week out of our Hollywood, California office.
