Job Description

As a Lead Data Analyst at Ubisoft, you will lead a team of Data Analysts, Engineers, and Scientists, driving strategic decision-making through data-driven insights. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing data analysis strategies, creating insightful dashboards and reports, collaborating with cross-functional teams (game development, marketing, etc.), ensuring data quality and governance, and staying current with the latest analytics technologies. You will deliver actionable recommendations to enhance game development, player engagement, and operational efficiency, mentoring and developing your team in a collaborative environment.
Must have:
  • 8+ years data analytics experience (3+ years in leadership)
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, Tableau/Power BI
  • Gaming industry experience or player analytics understanding
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management skills

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Lead Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in guiding strategic decision-making by providing insights from data. You’ll oversee a team of Data Analysts, Engineers and Scientists and collaborate with cross-functional teams, and deliver actionable recommendations to improve game development, player engagement, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
  • Data Strategy: Develop and implement data analysis strategies to support game development and business operations.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Design and deliver insightful dashboards, reports, and presentations for various stakeholders, ensuring data-driven decision
  • Collaboration: Work closely with game development teams, marketing, and other departments to identify opportunities for leveraging data.
  • Data Quality and Governance: Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and security by defining and enforcing governance standards.
  • Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest analytics technologies and methodologies, incorporating them into the team's workflows.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience: 8+ years of experience in data analytics, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in the gaming industry or a strong understanding of player analytics and game KPIs is essential.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management skills. Ability to translate complex data into clear insights for diverse audiences.
