We have an incredible opportunity on our Survival Team, to be part of something extraordinary with our new project, a sequel to Alien: Isolation, and a dream position for the right candidate. As Lead Development Manager, you will focus on mitigating risks and improving processes, while leading production planning and team efforts. You will inspire, mentor, and support a stellar team of producers on their goal of creating unforgettable thrilling and immersive experiences players will love.
We’re looking to add an experienced Lead Development Manager to facilitate communication and support our development teams. You will work with cross-discipline Leads and manage other Development Managers to balance scope vs capacity, track progress, implement and improve processes, help with people management, and mitigate risks while upholding and maintaining a quality bar.
This role is based in the UK and would require successful candidates to be able to relocate to the country of employment.
Key Responsibilities
On a day-to-day basis, you will:
- Facilitate teams of developers running them through their project life cycle stages
- Be accountable and drive the delivery of our teams and assigned key processes
- Plan and consistently deliver against project schedules, identify production risks or constraints, and troubleshoot dependency problems
- Challenge teams to proactively deal with scope and estimation problems
- Plan and prioritise tasks that are clearly communicated to the teams you are responsible for
- Facilitate communication between the project teams, leads and other producers
- Actively optimize and improve work methods and best practices to drive team efficiency
- Handle day-to-day production issues and improve work methods and best practices to drive team efficiency
- Stay aware of industry standards, both in terms of methodology and quality, and help team members stay on par or ahead of them when necessary.
Knowledge, Skill and Experience
Essential
- Significant experience in development management (multiple launched titles &
development on console) - Excellent project and people management skills
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Positive attitude with a team-oriented mindset
- Excellent knowledge of production management software tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Desirable
- Experience with fast delivery cycles and always playable software
- Passionate gamer
