As the Manufacturing Engineering Technical Specialist for Electronics, you will have the opportunity to use your ideas to help shape the future for Rolls-Royce North America’s external supply chain electronics manufacturing. You will lead all technical aspects of the electronics external supply chain manufacturing activities in both development and production with accountability to ensure quality, cost, and delivery requirements are met. You will be instrumental in ensuring technical and procedural processes and organizations are ready for industrialization. The technical specialist will be recognized as an authoritative source of electronics technical expertise and advice in the North American external supply chain and viewed as a key member of the broader team of technical expertise by senior capability leadership.

What you will be doing:
Lead a cross functional team, with manufacturing emphasis, to achieve program objectives and deliver products to the customer at the right time, cost, quality and responsiveness
Provide electronics manufacturing input to design engineering to assure component designs are producible & facilitate design for manufacture supplier events
Lead & represent manufacturing perspective regarding sourcing strategy
Develop & conduct supplier manufacturing readiness and technical risk assessments
Provide support to supplier with quality requirements (fixed process, FAIR, PPAP, SABRe)
Perform supplier hardware delivery source inspections
Create the environment for continuous improvement with the emphasis on sharing and searching for best practice

Basic Qualifications
Associates degree in Engineering, Technology or Business with 10+ years’ experience within Operations, Manufacturing, Quality or Purchasing OR;
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Technology or Business with 8+ years’ experience within Operations, Manufacturing, Quality or Purchasing OR;
Masters degree in Engineering, Technology or Business with 6+ years’ experience within Operations, Manufacturing, Quality or Purchasing OR;
In lieu of degree, 12+ years of experience with Operations, Manufacturing, Quality & Purchasing activity in a Manufacturing environment
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Preferred
Experience with surface mount technologies, obsolescence management, and counterfeit prevention as well as other electronics and controls manufacturing and their associated standards
Strong understanding of product industrialization, APQP/PPAP, and FAIR
Experience of operating within a global volume manufacturing environment and with teaching & mentoring electronics manufacturing processes
Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma Black Belt

Salary Range: $110,476 - $179,524
Relocation is available for this position.
