This six-week internship in Rebellion's Oxford Commercial Finance team offers hands-on experience in financial and data analysis. Interns will conduct financial performance analysis, identify key drivers for improvement across various business areas (Games, Film & TV, Publishing), analyze datasets and industry trends, support forecasting and financial modeling, assist in commercial analysis of AI/ML projects, and contribute to performance reporting on digital channels. The role also involves games pricing analysis, market research, competitor analysis, and creating Power BI dashboards. This internship is based in Rebellion's Oxford headquarters.
Must have:

For 30 years we’ve been independently developing and publishing incredible video games at our multiple studios founded by Jason & Chris Kingsley, but Rebellion is more than just games. We have our own film studio, we create board games, publish books, and through 2000AD, publish comics and graphic novels such as the amazing Judge Dredd.

We are offering an exciting six-week internship in our Commercial Finance team, designed to provide hands-on experience in financial and data analysis and business decision support. As an intern, you will work closely with an experienced team, receiving support from your line manager while taking on meaningful projects that contribute to real business outcomes. This internship is a fantastic opportunity to develop essential skills in finance and analytics while gaining exposure to a dynamic and fast-paced business environment.

This role is based at our riverside headquarters in Oxford, offering a creative and relaxed atmosphere where teamwork drives our success.

What you'll do & learn

Interns will collaborate closely with our Commercial Finance team to gain an understanding of our role in providing support to different business areas within the organisation. During your internship, you will be involved in a variety of finance and data analysis related tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Conducting financial performance analysis, identifying key drivers, and recommending actions for improvement for all areas of the business including Games, Film & TV and Publishing.
  • Analysing large datasets and industry trends to generate valuable business insights.
  • Supporting forecasting and financial modelling activities, including variance analysis.
  • Assist in the commercial analysis of our Machine Learning and AI development, projects and benefits tracking.
  • Assist in performance analysis and reporting on digital channels, including New Media, web and e-commerce.
  • Supporting games pricing including launch strategy analysis to drive revenue and player engagement and performance analysis for promotions, discounting, bundling, and competitor benchmarking.
  • Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify trends in sales, pricing, and promotional strategies for games and other products.
  • Assist in designing and maintaining Power BI dashboards that provide insights to senior management, producers, and marketing teams.

Requirements

  • Internships are exclusively accessible to undergraduate students from Wadham and St John's Colleges at Oxford University.
  • Availability for attendance from June 30, 2025, to August 29, 2025.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including experience with functions such as VLOOKUP, pivot tables, VBA and an understanding of data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen interest in data-driven decision-making.
  • Interest in commercial finance and strategic decision making.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also managing individual responsibilities.
