Job Description

Kabam is seeking a Partnerships Manager to drive business expansion through account leadership, partner development, platform optimization, and operational excellence. The role involves managing key account relationships, leading day-to-day account management, and ensuring operational excellence for Kabam's global growth. Responsibilities include managing platform accounts like Apple and Google, maximizing best practices, supporting publishing activities, leading cross-functional teams for operational excellence, developing financial and KPI models for strategic partnerships, and leading ASO/SEO strategies to enhance app store visibility and rankings. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in a similar capacity, strong analytical and communication skills, and experience with financial modeling.
Must have:
  • 5+ years experience in account management, project management, business development, marketing, publishing, or operations.
  • Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred).
  • Experience influencing cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of statistical and fiscal modeling using Excel.
  • Exceptional operational, strategic, analytical, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to drive projects cross-functionally and build consensus.
  • Understanding of the games platform ecosystem (mobile, PC, console).
  • Experience building and reviewing financial and download models.
  • Research-driven and analytical mindset.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Action-oriented, entrepreneurial, and innovative approach.
  • Ability to manage complex tasks and priorities.
Good to have:
  • Strategy consulting, investment banking, or corporate development backgrounds are valued.
  • Experience with payment providers, carriers, and OEMs.

The Partnerships Manager plays a key role in driving our business expansion through account leadership, partner development, platform optimization and operational excellence. You will be responsible for maintaining our key account relationships, leading day-to-day account management and being an organizational expert in operational excellence to support the growth and market presence of Kabam globally.

In this role, you can expect to be responsible for:

    • Account Management
    • Manage day-to-day operations on our key platform accounts, including (but not limited to) Apple, Google, and Steam
    • Lead onboarding and internal education of new platforms as needed
    • Oversee Kabam’s efforts to maximize best practices on each platform, working closely with platform partners to identify opportunities for growth and best practices
    • Support platform publishing business activities internally and inform performance cross-functionally while collaborating closely with game teams, marketing, and operations across all of Kabam’s global studios

    • Operations Management
    • Lead cross-functional teams to ensure operational excellence on all partner platforms, maximizing title opportunities
    • Serve as the primary advocate for platform opportunities, ensuring key stakeholders understand and act on strategic recommendations
    • Develop and manage repeatable processes, documentation and internal communication best practices
    • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure process efficiency on platforms organization-wide  

    • Financial and KPI Modeling
    • Leverage partner and internal data to develop and maintain performance models to assess potential strategic partnerships and opportunities
    • Use models to identify and evaluate the value and potential ROI of these opportunities on the business
    • Identify, analyze, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to effectively track the performance of completed projects and communicate the results to stakeholders

    • ASO Management
    • Lead cross-functionally with senior marketing professionals to develop and implement ASO & SEO strategies to enhance app store & search visibility and rankings
    • Monitor and analyze ASO KPIs and performance metrics
    • Utilize data-driven insights to make informed decisions and adjustments to ASO strategies
    • Stay updated on industry trends and competitor ASO strategies
    • Identify opportunities for differentiation and improvement based on competitive insights
    • Generate regular reports on ASO performance and present findings to stakeholders
    • Manage and allocate budgets effectively across different marketing channels for maximum impact
    • Partner with Data Science to build forecasting models, to evaluate and plan business impact of storefront optimizations

To be successful in this role, your background includes:

    • 5+ years of experience in similar capacity, including account management, project management, business development, marketing, publishing or operations. Backgrounds in strategy consulting, investment banking or corporate development are also valued
    • Bachelor's degree (master's degree preferred)
    • Experience influencing and aligning cross-functional teams in complex matrixed organizations
    • Knowledge of statistical and fiscal modeling using Excel and similar tools to drive data-driven decision making
    • Exceptional operational, strategic, analytical, communication, leadership and problem-solving skills, with ability to operate at all organization levels
    • An ability to drive projects cross-functionally, synthesize feedback, develop consensus and create structure where needed
    • An understanding of the games platform ecosystem including mobile, PC and console platforms as well as payment providers, carriers, and OEMs
    • Experience building and reviewing financial and download models
    • A research driven mindset that’s anchored in curiosity and balanced with excellent analytical, problem solving and project management skills
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; able to work with all stakeholders at leadership and executive levels
    • An action-oriented, entrepreneurial, and innovative approach to work with a desire to succeed in a high-pressure environment

The typical hiring range listed above is specific to candidates located in California. The salary will be determined based on your knowledge, skills and competencies, and you’ll have room to grow after you join!
