We are on the lookout for a Principal Engineer who will  join the CFS Collaborate team responsible for the core functionalities of Egnyte platform which is the heart of Egnyte. They work on centralized files repository with a web application as one of the user interfaces. Functionalities include managing, sharing and collaborating on files as well as some more specialized features that address business verticals: AEC, Life Sciences, Financial Services, etc. 

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  Provide overarching technical leadership and strategic direction across the organization, influencing multiple projects and teams across different sites. 

  Write and maintain high-quality, efficient code, setting the gold standard for the team and ensuring the scalability and maintainability of products in a pragmatic way. 

  Lead and establish rigorous code review processes, ensuring exceptional code quality and adherence to industry best practices. 

   Architect and design complex, large-scale systems and integrations, addressing the most challenging technical problems including interests of all parties. 

   Mentor and be a role model for Staff, Senior, Mid-Level, and Junior engineers, driving their professional growth and fostering technical excellence throughout the organization. 

   Lead and oversee mission-critical technical projects, ensuring successful delivery, strategic alignment, and meeting business goals. 

   Drive innovation by staying at the forefront of the latest technologies and industry trends and incorporating them into the organization’s strategic initiatives. 

   Work closely with other departments, including Product Management, QA, and DevOps, to ensure cohesive and comprehensive product development and delivery. 

   Active participation during incidents and production problems with debugging, vendor communication and identifying problems on cloud or customer side. 

 

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

  Graduated in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field. 

  +10 years of software development experience. 

  Mastery in Java 

  Extensive knowledge of software development methodologies, advanced expertise with version control systems (e.g., Git), and comprehensive understanding of databases and SQL. 

  Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of tackling the most complex and ambiguous technical challenges. 

  Superior verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders, including executive leadership from various locations and cultures. 

  Proven leadership experience with the ability to guide, inspire, and influence engineering teams and drive technical vision. 

  Continuous learner with a proactive approach to adapting to evolving technologies and requirements.
