Experience with TRC and knowledge of console-specific submission requirements are essential.

ustwo Games is a 40-person studio in London, best known as the creators of Monument Valley and more recently Alba: A Wildlife Adventure and Desta: The Memories Between. We are a multi-discipline team drawing from a diverse range of backgrounds and creative influences; our aim is to craft emotional, surprising experiences, for a broad audience, that change the world’s perception of what interactive entertainment can be.

We are well known for making beautiful games, but their apparent simplicity belies the complex systems underlying the magic, whether it’s the impossible illusions of Monument Valley or getting the animal-filled open world of Alba to run well on everything from iPhone 7 to PS5.

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Release Manager / Publishing Operations professional to join our team in releasing SKUs on PC and Console. This individual will establish a release management structure and milestones, and oversee all release requirements for each platform and SKU. The role includes typical release manager responsibilities, such as managing the release process on major console and PC platforms, supporting submissions, creating store pages, and managing assets, store page  bundles and more. This is expected to be a contract role, with flexibility to respond to project needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish a release management structure, documentation, milestones and timelines for overall project. 
  • Responsible for game set up in the partner centers for nintendo, playstation, steam and xbox and the successful submission (pass) for this section
  • Handle asset timelines and store page content , including screenshots, videos, and promotional materials for building out product store pages.
  • Understanding of console specific submission timelines and prebooking (scheduling) in cert testing with platforms
  • Reporting and the resubmission of certs
  • Understanding of top failures for TCRs etc (a bonus)
  • Setting up bundles, pre orders and any other systems related requirements for the product releases.  
  • Manage the creation and ongoing maintenance of store pages, working with the Commercial and Marketing team to ensure all information and assets are up-to-date and accurate.
  • Work with Marketing and Commercial to implement store page optimization, platform events and discounting, guiding with platform knowledge. 

 

  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with the production, development, marketing, commercial and QA teams to ensure seamless release processes.
    • Liaise with platform representatives.
    • Provide regular updates to stakeholders on release status and milestones.
    • Work closely with Head of Production, Marketing manager and Commercial manager.

Qualifications:

    • Proven experience in a release management or publishing operations role within the gaming industry.
    • Strong understanding of the PC and console game release processes and requirements.
    • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Detail-oriented with strong organisational abilities.
    • Knowledge of TRC (Technical Requirements Checklist) and console submission processes and timelines.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.


Preferred Skills:

    • Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in game publishing and release management.
    • Familiarity with Mobile games a bonus
