Job Description for SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) & In-App Senior Consultant Role (6 to 8 Years)

Experience: 6-8 years of full-time experience in SAP technologies (SAP ABAP, HANA ABAP etc.), out of which minimum experience of 1 project in SAP BTP & In-App (CDS & ODATA).

Job Description:

Business Process / Functional knowledge:

• General business process knowledge in SD & MM.
• Integration knowledge with S/4HANA using SAP BTP

Soft skills/Analytical skills & Other Requirements:

• Good analytical skills, strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Very good awareness of entire SDLC and processes related to SDLC. Should also be good in visualizing and formulating process flow diagrams.
• Mandatory: Must be willing to work in any shift: 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM shift or 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM shift (all hours in IST)

Technical – SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)

• Mandatory:

  Clear understanding of SAP BTP Cloud Foundry and available platform services. Knowledge of how to connect BTP to S/4HANA using Cloud Connector is required.

  Programming experience in Cloud platforms such as Cloud Foundry.

  Hands on experience of side-by-side extensibility using BTP (SAP Cloud Application Programming Model, SAP Cloud SDK, RAP etc.).

  Hands-on expertise in using Business Application Studio (BAS) and WebIDE. Experience in building Microservices using BAS.

  Hands on experience in CAPM (using NodeJS) and exposure to CAP annotations.

  Development experience in Web UI programming using JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3 and using SAP UI5 application development methods.

  Proficiency in In-App extension techniques

  At least one of the following programming languages and techniques – JAVA, NodeJS, Python or C++ with solid knowledge of microservices architecture.

  Hands-on knowledge in HANA ABAP. This includes developing CDS Views, ODATA API services and exposing them as services. Strong knowledge in CDS modelling in a plus.

  Hands-on experience of SAP BTP - API management for end to end lifecycle from build, mask, publish and monetize of an API. Experience to build API specification for developer portal with OpenAPI specification model.

• Nice to have:

  Extend solutions with additional SAP BTP capabilities for mobile, offline and integration.

  Proven skills in building scalable web applications/cloud services using cutting edge web technologies (REST, OData, jQuery, Server-side JS).

  Knowledge of SAP systems functionality and SAP Fiori UX principles is a plus.

Development Standards/Development Process

• By using project standards and processes, lead the team to prepare the technical design. Ensure overall development quality of applications by following the specifications.
• Hands on expertise in determining and/or validating the development effort estimates.
• Assisting functional teams when necessary in the testing efforts and preparing test data.
