Job Description

The Senior Accounts Assistant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting daily accounting activities. Responsibilities include guiding junior staff, reviewing their work, and taking a leading role in financial projects. They will also handle payables, supplier queries, and reconciliations, as well as day-to-day accounting duties, posting invoices, and liaising with the Treasury team for payments. Additional duties involve processing payments, bank reconciliations, maintaining accruals, and ensuring clear communication with various cost owners. Furthermore, the role encompasses processing staff reimbursements and assisting with audits.
Must have:
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar accounting role.
  • Good knowledge of core accounting principles and processes.
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Organised with good verbal and communication skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office knowledge.
Good to have:
  • iGaming industry knowledge.

ABOUT THE ROLE           
 
Are you a detail-oriented individual with a passion for numbers and a keen interest in financial operations? We are looking for a Senior Accounts Assistant to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting daily accounting activities, and ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes. YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:                 

  • You will provide guidance, support, and day-to-day supervision to junior accounts staff.
  • Review and validate the work of junior team members to ensure accuracy and completeness, providing reliable financial data to support management’s analysis
  • Have a leading role in any day to day financial projects as deemed fit by management
  • Overall responsible for the payable section. This includes following up of any supplier queries, supplier statement reconciliations, investigation of discrepancies.
  • In charge of the day to day accounting duties and the posting of supplier invoices.
  • Liaising with the Treasury team for funding needed for payments.
  • Processing weekly payment runs and other ad hoc payments.
  • Bank reconciliations in various currencies.
  • Calculation and maintaining of the monthly accruals and prepayments schedules.
  • Maintaining good and clear communication with various cost owners from different departments to ensure that completeness and accuracy of expenses recorded.
  • Processing staff reimbursement forms.
  • Monthly inter-company accounting and reconciliation.
  • Assisting with interim and year-end audits..
               
OUR SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
   
Essential Skills:        
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar accounting role, ideally within a fast-paced or dynamic finance environment.
  • Good working knowledge of core accounting principles and processes, including double-entry bookkeeping and reconciliation of data.
  • Problem solving skills and attention to detail are very important for this role.
  • Organised with good verbal and communication skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office knowledge.

Nice to have skills:              

  • iGaming industry knowledge.
