Job Description

Matific seeks a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and maintain DevOps processes and infrastructure. Responsibilities include leveraging IaC (AWS CDK/CloudFormation) for cloud infrastructure provisioning, designing CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions), utilizing containerization (Docker), ensuring cloud security (AWS services), optimizing AWS infrastructure costs, automating with Bash/Python/TypeScript, troubleshooting issues, and staying current with DevOps technologies. The role requires 5+ years of experience in a similar role with expertise in CI/CD, IaC, AWS security, and automation scripting.

Must have:

5+ years DevOps experience
CI/CD pipeline design & implementation
AWS CloudFormation/CDK expertise
AWS security best practices
Automation scripting (Bash/Python/TypeScript)
Infrastructure cost optimization

THE ROLE

We're looking for a talented and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our growing team. You'll play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our DevOps processes and infrastructure.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Leverage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with AWS CDK and AWS Cloudformation for provisioning and managing cloud infrastructure.
Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using tools like Github Actions.
Demonstrate knowledge of containerization technologies, including Docker and container orchestration.
Champion a "security by design" approach for cloud infrastructure, leveraging AWS security services and best practices.
Continuously optimize infrastructure costs on AWS
Write automation scripts using one or more of the following programming languages: Bash, Python, or TypeScript.
Effectively troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and application issues.
Stay up to date with the latest DevOps tools and technologies and readily adopt new solutions.

Requirements

5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or a related role
Proven experience in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines
Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with AWS CloudFormation or AWS CDK
Strong understanding of security best practices on AWS
Experience in optimizing cloud infrastructure costs
Proficiency in writing automation scripts using Bash, Python, or TypeScript
Excellent problem-solving skills and a meticulous approach to detail
A passion for learning and staying current with the ever-evolving DevOps landscape
Experience with GitOps methodologies
