Job Summary
Job Description
Trendyol seeks a Senior Lawyer in Dubai to provide expert legal counsel on business operations across the MENA region, focusing on the UAE. Responsibilities include offering legal advice on UAE laws (e-commerce, consumer protection, data privacy, commercial contracts), collaborating with external advisors, ensuring regulatory compliance, drafting/reviewing legal documents, managing legal risks, and advising internal teams on risk mitigation. The role requires strategic thinking, hands-on leadership, and contributing to Trendyol's success in the MENA region. The successful candidate will track new legislation, identify and manage legal risks, and share insights into regulatory best practices.

The Legal Team is more than just a legal team: it's a part of business design and an overall representitive of the company at large. The team provides support in line with corporate law, contracts, labor, competition, transportation and regulatory requirements to meet the day-to-day needs of other teams.

Trendyol is seeking a highly skilled and strategic leader for our legal operations in the UAE, based in Dubai. In this role, you will offer expert legal counsel on business operations across the MENA region, with a primary focus on the UAE. You will manage legal risks, ensure compliance, and support business units on legal matters related to products and services. This leadership position presents a unique opportunity to shape the company’s legal strategy while working in a fast-growing, dynamic e-commerce environment. We are looking for a strategic thinker and a hands-on leader, ready to contribute directly to Trendyol’s success in the MENA region.
Main Responsibilities
- Offer legal advice to the company, specializing in UAE laws, especially in areas such as e-commerce, consumer protection, data privacy, and commercial contracts.
- Collaborate with external legal advisors to gain insights and guidance from legal experts across the UAE and other GCC countries.
- Ensure full compliance with local regulations, including monitoring developments in advertising, IP, and payment systems.
- Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, including contracts, supplier agreements, licenses, and platform documentation, aligning them with business objectives and legal standards.
- Track and analyze new legislation, advising the business on how regulatory changes may impact operations and strategy.
- Identify and manage legal risks, advising internal teams on risk mitigation strategies and ensuring contracts adhere to company policies.
- Share insights into regulatory approaches and best practices across the region, helping the company adapt to legal and market shifts.

We offer a hybrid model that combines the productivity of remote work with the bonding and collaboration of in-office work. Teams are expected to work from our offices on designated days each week, fostering team spirit, creativity and cross team collaboration as part of our culture.
We also provide a summer working model, with a two-month fully remote work opportunity during July and August.
The hybrid working model only applies to hybrid roles; on-site roles require regular office presence.
