 Position Overview: 

The Platform Services and Emerging Technologies (PSET) team is seeking a Senior Portfolio Manager to support strategic planning of our platform, enhancing portfolio visibility, and engaging in cross-organizational stakeholder discussions. PSET, a key organization working on Autodesk Platform Services, is focused on building a cross-industry set of APIs, shared capabilities, and services that connect workflows across our industry clouds. The Portfolio Management team is crucial to supercharging effective planning, execution, and timely decisions.

You will report to the Head of Platform Portfolio, and this position can be 100% remote from anywhere in Canada and parts of the U.S.

Responsibilities: 

  • Contribute significantly to the execution and improvement of strategic planning processes while ensuring active engagement of all relevant stakeholders.  
  • Lead engagement with senior cross-organizational stakeholders to address complex issues requiring portfolio-level visibility and systems-focused thinking. 
  • Independently frame comprehensive problem statements with detailed use cases to resolve portfolio-level challenges using pragmatic solutions. 
  • Contribute to the creation and enhancement of portfolio-level reporting content to effectively communicate execution status, risks, and changes to senior management. 
  • Champion a data-driven culture of relentless improvement within the portfolio management function through implementation of metrics and optimization initiatives. 

  

Role Expectations: 

  • Embody effective agile portfolio management to consistently deliver value to stakeholders and contribute to the development of portfolio management processes. 
  • Independently manage significant portions of the portfolio while coordinating with colleagues and spanning organizational boundaries to build trust and understand portfolio-specific challenges. 
  • Drive results and communicate clearly to influence others towards common goals, regardless of reporting structure. 
  • Formulate practical recommendations to solve complex problems and present portfolio status and recommendations to senior leadership. 
  • Balance tactical execution with strategic planning to ensure alignment with overall business objectives. 
  • Lead challenging conversations to drive clear actions and outcomes, and negotiate dependencies with stakeholders effectively. 

Qualifications: 

  • 10+ years of experience in portfolio management; a combination of training from academia and industry is acceptable.  
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation abilities. 
  • Track record of managing multiple concurrent, complex software programs. 
  • Deep involvement in strategic planning and road mapping for cross-organizational initiatives.  
  • Experienced in presenting to senior leadership and other company-wide audiences. 
  • Working experience with JIRA, Airtable, Confluence, and Microsoft Excel.

Responsabilités : 

  • Contribuer de manière significative à l’exécution et à l’amélioration des processus de planification stratégique tout en assurant l’engagement actif de toutes les parties prenantes concernées.  
  • Diriger l’engagement avec les principaux intervenants interorganisationnels pour résoudre les problèmes complexes nécessitant une visibilité au niveau du portefeuille et une réflexion axée sur les systèmes. 
  • Cadrez de manière indépendante des énoncés de problèmes complets avec des cas d’utilisation détaillés afin de résoudre les problèmes au niveau du portefeuille à l’aide de solutions pragmatiques. 
  • Contribuer à la création et à l’amélioration du contenu des rapports au niveau du portefeuille afin de communiquer efficacement l’état d’exécution, les risques et les changements à la haute direction. 
  • Promouvoir une culture axée sur les données et une amélioration continue au sein de la fonction de gestion de portefeuille grâce à la mise en œuvre d’indicateurs et d’initiatives d’optimisation.

  • Incarner une gestion de portefeuille efficace et agile afin d’apporter constamment de la valeur aux parties prenantes et de contribuer au développement des processus de gestion de portefeuille. 
  • Gérez de manière autonome des parties importantes du portefeuille tout en vous coordonnant avec vos collègues et en dépassant les limites de l’organisation pour instaurer la confiance et comprendre les défis spécifiques au portefeuille. 
  • Améliorez les résultats et communiquez clairement pour influencer les autres vers des objectifs communs, quelle que soit la structure hiérarchique. 
  • Formuler des recommandations pratiques pour résoudre des problèmes complexes et présenter l’état du portefeuille et les recommandations à la haute direction. 
  • Équilibrez l’exécution tactique et la planification stratégique pour assurer l’alignement avec les objectifs commerciaux globaux. 
  • Menez des conversations stimulantes pour obtenir des actions et des résultats clairs, et négociez efficacement les dépendances avec les parties prenantes. 

Compétences 

  • + de 10 ans d’expérience en gestion de portefeuille ; Une combinaison de formation du milieu universitaire et de l’industrie est acceptable.  
  • Solides capacités d’analyse et d’interprétation des données. 
  • Expérience dans la gestion simultanée de plusieurs logiciels complexes et simultanés. 
  • Implication profonde dans la planification stratégique et la feuille de route des initiatives interorganisationnelles.  
  • Expérience dans la présentation à la haute direction et à d’autres publics à l’échelle de l’entreprise.

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $114,700 and $185,570. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For Canada-BC based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $105,400 and $144,980. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
