Red Rover Interactive is an exciting new game development studio founded by industry veterans from renowned companies such as Funcom, Lockwood Publishing, Bohemia Interactive, Ubisoft Reflections, and more. We're on a mission to reimagine the multiplayer gaming landscape, with an emphasis on crafting groundbreaking survival experiences that champion player agency and drama.

The Role:

As a Engine/Rendering Programmer at Red Rover Interactive, you will be responsible to improve upon and customize Unreal's engine architecture, as well as rendering pipeline to ensure our games run well both on low- and high-end hardware.

Your expertise will contribute to creating visually stunning and immersive gaming worlds for our players to explore. Beyond optimizations you can expect close collaboration with our technical artist, to create realistic and appealing visuals.

Lastly, you'll provide technical guidance and support to other team members on rendering-related issues, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.

You can expect ownership, responsibility as well as the agency to improve and innovate on the entirety of Unreal's offering.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Experience with graphics APIs such as DirectX, OpenGL, or Vulkan.
  • Strong understanding of rendering techniques, shaders, and graphics pipelines.
  • Proficiency with profiling tools
  • Strong C++ skills
  • Solid understanding of parallelization, cache efficiency and thread-safety

In addition, we expect you to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer graphics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in rendering programming, preferably in the gaming industry.
  • Familiarity with Unreal's rendering pipeline.
