As a Unity UI Developer for a mobile companion application, you will be responsible for designing and developing complex UI interfaces using Unity and C#. You will contribute to the development of the overall application architecture and design, collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensure the application is optimized for different mobile devices, participate in code reviews and debugging, and provide guidance to other developers. You will also participate in the planning and scoping of related tasks.
Must have:
  • Commercial experience in Unity UI development
  • Excellent knowledge of C#, Unity, and Unity UI systems
  • Strong understanding of mobile device limitations
  • Proficient in version control systems like Git
  • Familiarity with agile software development methodologies
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Experience with performance optimization
  • Knowledge of the game development industry
  • Fluent English communication skills

Description

As a Unity UI Developer for a mobile companion application, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Designing and developing complex UI interfaces for the mobile companion application using Unity and C#.
  • Contributing to the development of the overall application architecture and design.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including designers, artists, and engineers to ensure seamless integration of the UI components with the rest of the application.
  • Ensuring the application is optimized for different mobile devices and platforms.
  • Participating in code reviews, debugging, and optimization.
  • Providing guidance and mentorship to other developers on the team.
  • Participating in the planning and scoping of related tasks.

Requirements

The ideal candidate for this position would possess a strong background in Unity development with a focus on UI, have a good understanding of mobile device and platform limitations, and possess excellent problem-solving and debugging skills. Additionally, they should be able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, be knowledgeable about game development trends, and have a strong portfolio that showcases their work in Unity development.

Basic requirements:

  • Commercial experience working on UI interfaces as a Unity Developer.
  • Excellent knowledge of C#, Unity, and Unity UI systems.
  • Strong understanding of mobile device and platform limitations and optimizations.
  • Proficient in version control systems such as Git and Perforce.
  • Familiarity with agile software development methodologies.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment, including cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Experience with optimizing and improving performance.
  • Knowledge of the game development industry and passion for gaming.

Ability to work in the same time frame as our project team. This means:

  • You can choose the working hours which are comfortable for you but we expect them to be overlapped at least 75% with the project team.
  • In order to work more efficiently you may need to provide support to the team members using your tools.
  • Work location is flexible but depends on the specific project. For this position we favor candidates who can work from the office or in hybrid mode.
