As a Senior Software Engineer at Google, you'll play a pivotal role in developing next-generation technologies that empower developers to build multi-platform, full-stack applications and services powered by AI. You'll contribute to projects critical to Google's needs, collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, and shape a diverse and inclusive team culture. You'll work with cutting-edge technologies like Firebase, Project IDX, Checks, Gemini, and Google Cloud Services to design and build language and framework components that enhance developer experience. You'll also be involved in understanding educators' needs and translating them into the right technical decisions and systems.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in STEM or equivalent experience
  • 5 years of software development experience
  • 5 years of experience with data structures or algorithms
Good to have:
  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science
  • Experience with frontend coding tools and languages (e.g., Javascript/Typescript, Flutter, Dart, Angular)
  • Experience with backend coding languages (e.g., GOLang, Rust, or Java)
  • Experience with ML model coding languages (e.g., Python)
  • Experience developing accessible technologies
  • Experience in a technical leadership role

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math or equivalent practical experience in software development.
  • 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
  • 5 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • Experience in frontend coding tools and languages (e.g., Javascript/Typescript, Flutter, Dart, Angular).
  • Experience in backend coding languages (e.g., GOLang, Rust, or Java).
  • Experience in ML model coding languages (e.g., Python).
  • Experience developing accessible technologies.
  • Experience in a technical leadership role.
