We’re looking for a Social Media Coordinator who’s passionate about gaming, social media, and building brand stories across digital platforms. You’ll work as part of the Riot Games Brand & Comms (RGBC) team, supporting the voice of Riot across channels that reach millions of players and prospective candidates around the world. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Marketing Communications, you’ll help craft our social presence across channels including Twitter (X), Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, and LinkedIn while also collaborating closely with the team responsible for riotgames.com.
Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day coordination of our social media presence on Riot Games channels (Twitter/X, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn).
- Create and post content that brings Riot’s story to life, working in partnership with our editorial writer, visual designer, and video team.
- Manage, maintain, and own our brand content calendar, ensuring smooth releases and coordination across multiple ongoing projects.
- Monitor and manage channel health by tracking engagement, responding to community interactions, and flagging potential opportunities or concerns.
- Work closely with agency partners and contractors to help execute campaigns, deliver creative assets, and ensure alignment with Riot’s brand voice and goals.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure content reflects Riot’s overarching marketing and communications strategies.
- Analyze and report on social media metrics to inform future content strategies and ensure we’re engaging with our audience effectively.
- Ensure all content aligns with Riot’s brand voice, maintaining a player-first, authentic tone that reflects our values and resonates with our community, while adapting the messaging to fit the unique culture of each platform.
Required Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of experience managing corporate or brand social media accounts, ideally within gaming, entertainment, sports, or tech.
- Strong knowledge of Twitter (X), Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook and experience in publishing tools.
- Excellent communication and copywriting skills, with an eye for detail and the ability to maintain brand consistency.
- Experience working with creative teams (visual designers, video producers, writers) to deliver cohesive content.
- Familiarity with social media analytics and reporting tools (e.g., Hootsuite, native platform analytics).
- A passion for gaming and Riot’s community, with a pulse on industry trends and digital engagement strategies.
- Strong organizational skills and an ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with short-form video content, including TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Instagram Reels.
- Basic graphic design skills or familiarity with tools like Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience working with agency partners on social media strategies or creative executions.
- Familiarity with LinkedIn, Glassdoor, or other employer-focused social platforms.
