We’re looking to hire a highly skilled and experienced Senior Console Gaming Engineer to join our Console Gaming Engineering team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in embedded systems development, particularly in C programming and working with System on Chips (SoCs) and Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) or bare metal environments. You will play a key role in designing, implementing, and optimizing Bluetooth audio profiles and applications, while also supporting various gaming and multimedia features for console platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain C programming solutions for console gaming systems, focusing on performance and reliability.
- Develop and optimize system-level applications for SoC-based embedded systems, ensuring integration with Bluetooth audio profiles (HFP / A2DP).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and optimize real-time applications, leveraging RTOS or bare metal solutions for efficient and robust performance.
- Debug, test, and ensure the quality of software in line with industry standards.
- Participate in the full development lifecycle, from requirement analysis to system integration, ensuring timely delivery of features with high quality.
- Interface with external hardware modules, optimize multimedia features, and ensure smooth connectivity for Bluetooth audio services.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring junior engineers, and driving best practices in software design and development within the team.
Must-Have Skills & Qualifications:
- C Programming: Deep understanding and hands-on experience with C programming in embedded systems development.
- SOC Development with RTOS or Bare Metal: Expertise in developing software for SoCs (System on Chips) with a strong focus on RTOS or bare metal environments for real-time applications.
- Bluetooth Audio Profiles: Proven experience with Bluetooth audio profiles, including Hands-Free Profile (HFP) and Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP), or similar Bluetooth audio application development.
Nice-to-Have Skills & Qualifications:
- ThreadX or FreeRTOS: Familiarity with lightweight RTOS such as ThreadX or FreeRTOS for efficient task scheduling and resource management in embedded systems.
- USBX: Experience working with USBX, a USB host and device stack designed for embedded systems.
- SAI/I2S: Understanding of SAI (Serial Audio Interface) or I2S (Inter-IC Sound) protocols for audio data transmission in embedded systems.
- STM32 Cube IDE: Experience using STM32 Cube IDE for STM32 microcontroller development, including peripheral configuration and debugging.
- Audio Kit: Experience with audio kits, including integration and configuration for audio playback/recording, and optimizing for low-latency, high-fidelity performance.
- TouchGFX: Familiarity with TouchGFX for graphical user interface (GUI) design and development, ensuring optimal performance on embedded systems with limited resources.
