Requirements and responsibilities 

We are currently looking for a Senior Java Engineer to join our team. 
The ideal candidate is a Java developer with demonstrated streaming (Flink, Kafka, or similar platforms) and microservices experience. 

What you'll do: 

• You'll build backend applications, participate in product development activities, support the culture of total quality, and lead it by example. 
• You'll have access to Ness programs that offer specialized training and certification—particularly in the rapidly evolving areas of streaming technologies such as Flink and Kafka.
  
• You'll lead by example in fostering a culture of quality within your team.
  
• You'll run Ness training programs focused on streaming technologies (focused on Flink), with a chance to develop specialized skills and certifications.

What you'll bring: 

• Hands-on development experience in Java 8/11 (Stream API, Multi-threading, Collections. Profiling) / JEE and Spring MVC / Spring Boot.
  
• At least 10 years of experience building and specializing in cloud/om-premise application modernization/movement/adoption using virtualization, DevOps pipelines, and shared infrastructure deployments using terraform and data pipes. 
  
• About 10 years of experience in building Java streaming applications using Flink, Kafka, Java Microservices, Redis Cache, and Enterprise Databases is good to have.
  
• Low-latency, high throughput experience using Kafka and NoSQL databases is ideal.
  
• Experience in writing applications for deployment on cloud environment.
  
• Experience with containerization (e.g., Docker) and preferably,
• Container Management software (Kubernetes).
  
• Hand-on experience with Unit testing (Mockito).
  
• Excellent communication skills.
  
• Financial services experience is a big plus.
