As a Staff UX Engineer at Google, you'll be part of a UX team working in a fast-paced environment. You'll leverage your creativity, analytical skills, and knowledge of user-facing technologies to craft prototypes that optimize product experiences, launch innovative features, develop tools for UX teams, bridge the gap between design and engineering discussions, and ensure efficient and high-quality execution. You'll also collaborate with UX designers and researchers, provide mentorship to junior engineers, and manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
Must have:

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience in a technical, UX, or design setting, or related experience.

Google Research is building the next generation of intelligent systems for all Google products. To achieve this, we’re working on projects that utilize the latest computer science techniques developed by skilled software developers and research scientists. Google Research teams collaborate closely with other teams across Google, maintaining the flexibility and versatility required to adapt new projects and foci that meet the demands of the world's fast-paced business needs.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $168,000-$252,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Deliver innovative, engaging prototypes using the latest in front-end technologies.
  • Advise, collaborate with, and synthesize feedback from UX designers and researchers.
  • Fulfill several project requests simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Serve as a mentor for junior UX engineers and peers.
  • Assist front-end engineers with final development of Google products
