Job Description

As a Technical Artist, you'll be a key part of the game development pipeline, collaborating with Development, Art, and Animation teams. You'll build and support new and existing game features in Unity, handling both UI and gameplay elements. Responsibilities include creating the technical infrastructure for feature support across departments and implementing the final visual design. This role demands a strong understanding of animation and art pipelines, complex technical infrastructure, and efficient artwork implementation techniques (like 9-slicing) to optimize size and space. You'll be responsible for bridging the gap between design and technical requirements, ensuring visual appeal and technical functionality.
Must have:
  • High attention to detail

  • Understanding of complex technical infrastructure
  • Skilled at finding technical solutions to conserve space
  • Extensive knowledge of Photoshop & Unity
  • At least 2 years of experience in gaming
Good to have:
  • Knowledge of 3D programs (Blender or Maya)

Description

As a Technical Artist, you will be part of the full creative pipeline. Your job is to build both new and support existing features within our games. You will be working and collaborating with the Development, Art and Animation departments, and be a full participant in the product lifecycle and pipeline. You'll be building both UI and Gameplay features in Unity with specific technical requirements from all departments related to the features lifecycle. You’ll be in charge of creating the skeleton infrastructure that leads to the features support in both Development and Animation and also in charge of implementing the final design and visual aspect of the feature.

Requirements

  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Solid understanding of Animation and Art pipelines and workflows
  • Understanding of complex technical and logic infrastructure building
  • Excellent skills in dealing with design and technical requirements to support both visual and technical sides of the features
  • Skilled at finding technical solutions to conserve on size and space when implementing artwork (9slicing etc.)
  • Understanding of the world of programming
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with Photoshop
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with Unity
  • Knowledge of 3D programs like Blender (preferably) or Maya
  • At least two years of experience in the gaming industry
