Job Description

As a Technical Program Manager II at Google, you'll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects in Network Deployment Optimization for Cloud Networking. You'll collaborate with stakeholders to define project scopes, manage schedules, and communicate effectively across teams. Responsibilities include prioritizing program goals, reviewing key metrics, identifying corrective actions, and driving impact with stakeholders. You'll need experience in program management, data center/networking deployments, and data analytics. The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to translate technical details for both engineering and executive audiences.
Must have:

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience with data center or networking deployments.
  • Experience working with data analytics tools and reporting platforms.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience in vendor management.
  • Familiarity with network planning and engineering, including data center network engineering in complex environments.

You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $132,000-$189,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to understand or identify defined work issues and program goals, obtain prioritized deliverables, and discuss program impact.
  • Prioritize program goals, understand and translate other stakeholders’ needs into program goals and prioritized deliverables with minimal assistance, and contribute to decisions on prioritizing goals and deliverables.
  • Define the scope of projects and develop, execute or manage project plans for supported programs.
  • Review key metrics pertaining to a program, monitor potential metric deviations, and define corrective actions for critical deviations.
  • Identify, communicate, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders within one or more teams to drive impact and work toward mutual goals.
