Location: Chennai/Bangalore/Hyderabad Work Mode: Hybrid Job Summary: The Salesforce Release Manager & Quality Assurance Associate will manage the release process for Salesforce, including metadata migration, production releases, and change management. Additionally, the role encompasses quality assurance responsibilities, including testing, automation, and defect management. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Copado, a solid background in software development, and excellent QA skills. Key Responsibilities: Release Management: • Handle migration of metadata between all sandboxes and production environments. • Conduct weekly production releases for CRM and eCommerce teams. • Perform back-promotions of changes pushed to production on a regular schedule. • Oversee planning, coordination, and execution of Salesforce releases. • Manage day-to-day issues in syncing testing needs with the release calendar and change priorities. Copado Expertise: • Own and maintain the Copado tool and assist in implementing new features. • Provide guidance on the correct usage of Copado to the team. Governance and Standards: • Ensure compliance with governance standards before promoting changes between sandboxes. • Act as a point of contact for requests related to moving changes, conducting necessary checks and validations. Development and Conflict Resolution: • Utilize software development skills to analyze and adjust code for conflict resolution. • Coordinate with the development team and understand requirements prior to executing conflict resolution. • Lead planning and coordination of all changes across platforms. Quality Assurance: • Execute test scenarios in a continuous integration environment. • Automate and execute test scenarios, and report on testing progress. • Analyze business requirements and create test scenarios based on them. • Write test cases and document test results; recommend functional decisions based on test results. • Work closely with internal and customer teams to understand business requirements and coordinate testing activities. • Actively participate in internal defect triage calls and assist with UAT planning and execution. • Maintain and communicate QA metrics to stakeholders via status/metrics reports. • Document and communicate QA-related risks to Project Management. Process Development and Documentation: • Develop and establish guidelines for the deployment of changes to all SFDC systems. • Ensure appropriate testing, sign-offs, and documentation are completed for all changes. Communication and Leadership: • Manage communication between different groups involved in the deployment process. • Schedule and lead change review meetings. Basic Requirements: • B.S. in Computer Science or a related field. • Copado Fundamentals I & II certification (minimum requirement). • Strong expertise in Copado and over one year working as a Release Manager or in a similar role. • Proven experience as a qualified developer and knowledge of the Development Lifecycle. • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, Agile/Scrum methodology, and experience in an Agile environment. • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently. • Great attention to detail and ability to identify, isolate, and document defects. • Experience in a small company environment. Preferred Requirements: • 3+ years of hands-on experience with the Salesforce platform. • SCRUM & Salesforce certification(s). • Understanding of test automation framework design models and best practices. • Experience with test automation tools and frameworks.
