2D Generalist

Company Description

5th Ocean Studios is currently working on 'ILAVATH: BATTLE ARENAS', a Team Based Strategy game that draws inspiration ancient legends of India. The war for Amruth (Elixir of Immortality) has disturbed the cosmic balance. To restore balance, the tri-gods created Ilavath, a realm where heroes from all races battle for Moksha.

Role Description

• 2D Asset Creation & Game Promotion: Design high-quality 2D assets (characters, environments, props) for games and promotional materials like banners, posters, and social media graphics.
• UI/UX Design: Develop intuitive, visually appealing user interfaces (menus, HUDs, buttons) and collaborate with teams to ensure seamless user experiences.
• Graphic Design & Branding: Create branding elements, including logos and typography, and support game marketing with graphic design for digital/print media.
• Collaboration & Creative Contribution: Work closely with game designers, developers, and marketing teams, contributing to brainstorming sessions and aligning visuals with project goals.
• Optimization & Software Proficiency: Optimize 2D assets for various platforms, proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, with basic animation and game engine knowledge preferred.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in 2D art asset creation, animation, and visual effects
• Knowledge of game development pipelines and tools
• Experience in creating assets for mobile or PC games
• Strong understanding of color theory, composition, and visual storytelling
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Passion for Indian mythology and storytelling
• Degree in Game Art, Animation, Graphic Design, or related field
