This Account Executive role at Google Customer Solutions focuses on mid-market sales within the German market, requiring fluency in both English and German. Responsibilities include meeting ambitious quarterly growth goals, managing a portfolio of medium to large businesses, and proactively consulting with clients on their annual digital marketing strategies. The ideal candidate will possess strong consultative sales skills, experience with digital advertising campaigns, and the ability to build lasting client relationships. Success in this role requires exceeding quotas, driving growth, and establishing credibility with executive-level clients to optimize and expand business relationships. A deep understanding of online marketing strategies and tactics is crucial, along with the ability to build compelling narratives and effectively manage client expectations.

Job Details

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in advertising, consultative sales, business development, or IT, or 3 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • Ability to travel 20% of the time as required.
  • Ability to communicate in English and German fluently to support client relationship management in this region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience managing digital advertising campaigns with a focus on performance marketing.
  • Experience assessing and achieving client success via business techniques, including effective questioning, objection handling, and engaged promotions.
  • Knowledge of online marketing strategy and tactics.
  • Ability to own a portfolio in an advertising or media sales context in Germany, and exceed quotas and drive growth.
  • Ability to build compelling narratives and utilize storytelling as a client engagement strategy.
  • Demonstrated thought leadership and high executive functioning within the digital marketing space.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver against ambitious quarterly business growth and product growth goals.
  • Own a portfolio of medium and large size businesses by thoroughly understanding growth drivers, identifying opportunities for growth, managing risks, and building multi-quarter plans for achievement.
  • Consult with customers proactively to support annual digital marketing discussions.
  • Deliver outstanding customer experience and achieve customer business and marketing objectives.
  • Establish credibility with executives and serve as a trusted partner to optimize and expand business.
