Job Description

As an Account Manager for Google's Food/Beverage/Healthcare team in Tokyo, you'll develop and manage key advertiser relationships in Japan. You'll act as a consultant, advising clients on Google's advertising solutions to achieve their business goals. Responsibilities include proactive problem-solving, building strong client and agency relationships, analyzing data to optimize campaigns, and collaborating with internal teams. You'll need to be fluent in English and Japanese, possess strong analytical and communication skills, and have a minimum of 5 years' experience in account management, sales, and marketing within the digital/media/advertising industry. Experience in the CPG industry is preferred. The role involves working with Google's diverse product offerings, developing innovative solutions, and increasing advertiser investment. You'll be a key player in shaping how businesses grow in the digital age.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in ‌account management, sales, and marketing ‌in‌ ‌the digital/media/advertising‌ industry.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Japanese fluently to interact with internal and external stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry/client/agency.
  • Ability to deliver results under pressure to client services.
  • Ability to be detail oriented and complete a volume of quality work.
  • Excellent leadership, organization, communication, teamwork and problem solving skills.

As the Account Manager for the Food/Beverage/Healthcare team, you will develop and manage relationships with advertisers in Japan. You will be an advisor and consultant, as well as an advocate for clients within Google. You will use problem-solving skills to grow existing business, develop and obtain new business, and support the team with account and market knowledge and other collateral.

Our Large Customer Sales teams partner closely with many of the world’s biggest advertisers and agencies to develop digital solutions that build businesses and brands. We enjoy a bird’s eye view on the massive transformation occurring as advertising shifts to mobile and online platforms. We're uniquely situated to help shape how companies grow their businesses in the digital age. We advise clients on Google's broad range of products across search, video and mobile to help them connect instantly and seamlessly with their audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to Google's advertisers by identifying and solving client problems proactively and creatively.
  • Build relationships with leading clients, media and creative agencies.
  • Analyze data trends and client performance, and develop client account plans.
  • Learn and work with Google product experts to develop and deliver innovative solutions, optimize campaign results, and identify opportunities to increase advertiser investments.
  • Work cross-functionally within Google and collaborate on projects to drive client success.
