Job Description
This Accountant position at Google in Hyderabad, India requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent experience) and 2 years of experience in finance or treasury. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with Indian accounting standards and regulations, representing Accounting & Finance to business partners, preparing financial information for various audiences, performing financial analysis, and articulating risks and recommendations to management. The role involves working with cross-functional and international teams and requires strong investigative and communication skills. Experience with ERP systems (SAP, SQL) and spreadsheet software is preferred, as is a CPA or CA certification.

- Ability to have a collaborative style and work with cross-functional and international teams.
- Ability to assist with well-defined tasks within a project, manage time, and follow work plans.
- Excellent investigative skills with the ability to communicate with executive management.

- Ensure compliance with Indian accounting standards, regulatory requirements and tax regulations, including management of the external audit and tax compliance for a portfolio of Google entities in India.
- Represent Accounting and Finance with our business partners through effective communication with in-country business managers, Technical Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Legal, Regulatory Compliance, Internal Audit and Financial Planning.
- Prepare and present financial information to different audiences, including finance leaders, business partners, auditors and regional accountants.
- Articulate risks of your area to management and make recommendations for improvement.
- Perform regular in-depth analysis on the financials, ensuring the integrity and financial accuracy of local books and records.
