This role involves producing and directing 3D animations for in-game characters, focusing on designing motions that align with their individuality and the game's world. Key responsibilities include quality control of hand-keyed animations and implementing, adjusting, and optimizing animations using Unity. The ideal candidate is proactive, passionate about character animation, understands Unity-based game development, and seeks long-term team growth.
Must have:
  • Produce and direct 3D animations for in-game characters.
  • Design and express motions aligned with character individuality and world view.
  • Perform quality control of hand-keyed animations.
  • Implement, adjust, and optimize animations using Unity.
  • Proactively identify, propose, and solve team issues.
  • 5+ years of 3D motion production experience in games or video.
  • Practical experience with Maya, Blender, or MotionBuilder.
  • Experience implementing Unity animations (Animator, Timeline, Rigging).
  • Ability to devise animation expressions based on character and intent.
  • Basic communication skills for team production (Japanese).
Good to have:
  • Experience adjusting and cleaning motion capture data
  • Experience utilizing physics calculations and procedural animations in Unity
  • Basic knowledge of rigging

Application Requirements

・Experience in 3D motion production for games or video (approx: 5 years or more)

・Practical experience using one of the following DCC tools: Maya / Blender / MotionBuilder

・Experience in implementing animations in Unity (Animator, Timeline, Rigging, etc.)

・Ability to devise animation expressions according to character individuality and directorial intent

・Basic communication skills necessary for team production (Japanese)

・*While experience as a lead or senior is welcome, this position is also open to those who wish to demonstrate leadership in the future.

Desired Skills

・Experience in adjusting and cleaning motion capture data

・Experience utilizing physics calculations and procedural animations in Unity

・Basic knowledge of rigging
