Position Overview:
Zynga is looking for an Associate Game Designer who will design creative and fun levels and gameplay on some of Zynga’s top games. The Associate Game Designer will add a fresh perspective, creativity, and have a measurable impact on the game and the design.
What you'll do:
- Design creative, fun and challenging Match-3 levels using a variety of mechanics. Analyze and understand level performance using data and iterate on designs.
- Work closely with other designers and cross-functionally with UX, engineering, and product management on the design and implementation of new game mechanics. Build and lead the implementation of fun, engaging in-game gameplay and other game content.
- Build clear and complete game design documentation for game content and features. Assess and apply qualitative and quantitative feedback to improve game design and balance.
What you bring:
- 1+ year experience in mobile game design, including exposure on a game in live ops
- Experience building in-game content designed to appeal to a specific audience
- Deep understanding of basic game balance and tuning
- Experience writing clear and concise specs, user flows, and feature documentation
- Knowledge and Level design experience on Match-3 games is a plus
- Solid knowledge of free-to-play games in general, and the puzzle genre specifically
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
