Line of Service Overview
Our Middle East Assurance practice includes over 2,300 people based in 12 countries across the region and is part of PwC’s global network that is operating worldwide. PwC Middle East’s Assurance practice combines the right mix of human-led and tech powered solutions to provide our clients with quality audits and other risk services that create confidence and impact in our region and across society.
Business Unit Overview

Our purpose is to build trust in society and solve important problems. Therefore, our Risk Assurance practice focuses on helping organisations review and strengthen every aspect of their business, from people to performance, systems to strategy, and business planning to business resilience.
Our Risk Assurance practice provides a wide range of services and business advice that is not limited to Internal Audit, Enterprise Risk Management, Policies and Procedures, Governance, Internal Control over Financial Reporting, Process Intelligence, Compliance as well as Technology Risk.
What is expected from you?
You will be in charge of a prestigious client portfolio and for managing the full cycle of your audit assignments. You will be working as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive experience helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Your job duties will include but will not be limited to:
Working with colleagues in all Middle Eastern offices on client audits and internal initiatives as well as with international teams where appropriate
Collaborating with the engagement leader and manager of teams for agreeing budgets, communication of results and their impact on the overall project and making contributions to the final reporting.
Engaging and dealing with diverse teams as well as managing multiple projects/clients simultaneously in a timely manner
Assisting the senior management in building and maintaining meaningful client relationships, and researching and identifying opportunities on new/existing clients
Proactively ensuring a timely billing and collection process of the client projects.
Developing risk management strategies for our clients to drive compliance and strengthen their existing processes and controls
Identifying priority areas of risk and process improvement by understanding our client’s strategy, objectives, risks, control frameworks, systems and regulatory environments
Designing the audit strategy and managing the audit execution in alignment with the engagement leader guidance. You will advise clients on financial reporting and regulatory developments, as well as staying up to date with the regulatory changes by attending internal and external seminars.
Helping our clients navigate an evolving risk and regulatory landscape by developing and executing test plans, identifying control effectiveness and improvements and reporting these to clients in an impactful way
Managing internal audit, governance, and risk management projects, including preparation of scope of work, managing the project economics, managing the team, and managing the communication with the clients stakeholders. Advise our clients on matters related to set- up and review of internal controls, governance, and risk management Partnering with our clients on their large transformation programs to mitigate regulatory and compliance risks
Delivering presentations to the board of directors and audit committees with senior management
Keeping up to date with local and national business and economic issues.
Ensuring you are adhering to compliance with the risk, quality and independence matters.
Provide coaching and mentoring development of team members reporting to you while caring about their well-being.
Encouraging involvement in digital initiatives and the use of audit transformation technologies, as well as the use of alternative delivery models, in order to ensure compliance with our firm's vision and ensure a more robust audit
Taking part of the recruitment process for interviewing and selecting the most competent candidates as per PwC hiring standards
What will you bring?
You are ambitious and you utilise opportunities to grow and develop. In addition, you recognise yourself in the following characteristics:
A degree in Accounting, Finance, Risk Management, Governance Industrial Engineer, or any related discipline
Completing a professional qualification, such as CIA, CPA, CRMA, CFE, CGRCP, PMP, or CMA is a plus
Minimum of 6-8 years of professional and relevant experience in one of the big 4 is preferable.
Experience working with diverse industries is considered an asset
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills that allow you to thrive in a team environment
Bilingual proficiency in Arabic and English (oral and written) is a plus
Strong project management skills and experience managing assurance projects from planning to completion
Confidence in challenging yourself and others to complete high quality deliverables
Ability to establish and nurture positive relationships across all levels - both internally and externally
Driving innovative thinking and supports others through change and uncertainty to overcome hurdles
Experience encouraging a team environment that promotes collaboration and constructive challenge and has demonstrated the ability to act quickly to resolve team issues and questions
Taking pride in your work and in the Audit profession, showing resilience and demonstrating dedication to self-development including being agile and innovative in the digital world
Promoting and encouraging others to value difference when working in diverse teams
Ability and willingness to travel frequently within the Middle East and worldwide where the project dictates
