Job Description

Version 1's Business Analyst Academy is a 12-week paid training program leading to a potential permanent Associate Consultant role. The academy includes 8 weeks of general technology and organizational learning, mentorship from Version 1's senior technologists, training in presentation and customer-facing skills, and a dedicated week on Business Analysis & Project Management. The final 4 weeks focus on Business Analysis, Research, and Design, emphasizing collaboration within multidisciplinary teams. Successful completion guarantees a final interview for a permanent position with potential salary increases over the first 18 months. The program requires a 3-day a week commitment to the Birmingham office.
Must have:
  • University degree (2:2 or above in ICT or STEM)
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Passion for technology and business analysis
  • Eligibility to work in the UK and for security clearance
  • Willingness to travel within the UK and EU

Job Description

We are proud to offer a highly effective hybrid working model and require all associate members to work from our Version 1 Office 3 days each week. This means that you must be able to travel to our impressive central Birmingham Hub (B2 5DB). Please note that we only accept applications from candidates who can commute to the Birmingham office. If you meet this requirement, please apply with confidence.

With support from the Early Careers Team and accredited providers, you'll complete a 12-week hybrid training and receive a training allowance.

  • First 8-weeks consists of general learning about different technologies and organisational concepts. You will meet Version 1 Mentors and Senior Technologists to learn how to practically use new skills in a Consultancy role. You will work with great trainers on your presentation and customer facing skills which will be part of the Design Thinking week. There will be week dedicated to the delivery of Business Analysis & Project Management syllabus. The Academy includes Company Days at your local Version 1 office, where you will have the opportunity to meet the Early Careers team, Version 1 colleagues and other Academy Associates. We pay for your certifications across our Partner Network: UK & Ireland’s premier Microsoft, AWS & Oracle partner, and many more…
  • The final 4-weeks will concentrate on Business Analysis, Research, and Design. This phase emphasises understanding the roles within a multidisciplinary team and the dynamics of collaborating with Product Managers, Service Designers, Developers, and Delivery Managers. It is especially suited for individuals who are passionate about Business Analysis, cross-functional collaboration and UX Design.

     

We want to invest in you and help you to kick start your career in Version 1 – so upon successfully completing the Academy, you will be offered an interview that will open an opportunity for permanent employment in Version 1 as an Associate Consultant. 

 

  • First 12-weeks on Academy: paid training contract
  • Upon successful completion of 12-week Academy: final interview with opportunity for Permanent Contract as an Associate Consultant
  • Over the first 18 months as Associate Consultant you will be eligible for salary uplifts (based on your performance):
    • 6 months – 5% increase
    • 12 months – 5% increase
    • 18 months – 10% increase

Our Digital Skills Academies would be great if you: 

  • Have received a university degree classification of 2:2 in any ICT or STEM subject
  • Love getting stuck into problem-solving and you don’t give up easily!
  • Are passionate about technology and interested in a role in Business Analysis, Research, and Design
  • Eligible to work in the UK/ Ireland and eligible for UK security clearance (visit the .gov.uk website for more information)
  • Eligibility and willingness to travel across offices in the EU and UK to meet with our stakeholders and customers. (Travel Costs covered by Version 1)
  • An added bonus if you have previous IT work experience or you participated in a Tech Bootcamp/course
