About the company

Playrix is one of the most successful mobile game development companies
in the world. In terms of mobile application revenue, we rank first in Europe
and are in the top 3 worldwide. Our games have been installed 2.3 billion times (that's a third of the world's population!) and more than 30 million people around the world play them every day.

Team, about the role

Data Analyst for User Acquisition in our company will be responsible for analyzing marketing data, developing methodologies for evaluating metrics, and exploring non-obvious correlations between metrics. We adhere to the principles of a teal organization: no hierarchy, processes are as transparent as possible, arguments matter more than authority, and results matter more than processes. We have small teams of 3-5 people, each of whom has their own area of responsibility in which they accumulate expertise.

Tasks

Within the UA Analytics team, tasks are diverse. If you find it interesting to...

  • Solve tasks of varying complexity, from testing hypotheses to building models
  • Understand different types of traffic and enhance your understanding of advertising channel algorithms
  • Evaluate changes in the audience and the impact of creatives on acquisition
  • Investigate non-obvious relationships between metrics
  • Work on the algorithm for selecting optimal bids
  • Research game cannibalization and much more

...then we will have plenty to discuss.

Our stack

  • Modern and reusable in other companies stack (JupyterHub or Databricks + PySpark). Skills gained while working at Playrix remain relevant and easily monetizable.
  • No restrictions on tools, resources are allocated quickly, and we have access to the entire AWS
  • Data is collected through Appsflyer (marketing) and Amplitude (product)
  • Raw data is stored in S3, ETL processes are managed by Airflow, and prepared tables and views are stored in Redshift. Data Quality, lineage, cataloging are managed through Monte Carlo
  • Analysts manipulate data using SQL and Python in Jupyter/Databricks notebooks, and they prototype dashboards using Tableau
  • We are developing self-service and analytical products for data consumers, relieving analysts of routine tasks

Requirements

  • Excellent mathematical background with knowledge of probability theory and applied statistics at the level of a technical university graduate
  • Experience in data analysis, product or marketing analytics no more than 3 years
  • Excellent knowledge and experience working with SQL
  • Experience working with Python
  • Experience in machine learning would also be very beneficial
  • Business-oriented, ability to find practical solutions within limited time, avoiding unnecessary complexity
  • Proactive attitude, ability and willingness to take responsibility for results, ability to act in uncertain situations

Our advantages

  • Abundant Marketing Data: We have a substantial amount of marketing data, including impressions, clicks, and openings
  • In-Depth Exploration of Zones: Nobody delves as deeply into specific areas as we do (e.g., Attribution)
  • Short Feedback Cycle Impacting Business: We experience a very short feedback cycle regarding the impact on business – the marketing effect is significant, and any changes are immediately visible

Our Perks

Flexibility at work

  • For most positions we offer a flexible schedule, and employees can work from anywhere in the world (except for the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus). You can do your work however and wherever you like — we only evaluate your results.

Caring for health and well-being
  • We provide voluntary health insurance for employees and their children, and reimburse online sessions with a psychologist.
  • We offer fully paid vacation days and sick leave. In certain circumstances, you can request additional days off.
  • We support leading a healthy lifestyle and reimburse the cost of gym memberships and fitness app subscriptions.
Professional development and education
  • We pay for participation in specialized conferences and courses and hold our own internal conferences.
  • We offer discounts on English language courses and courses for the languages of the countries in which the company operates.
Events and merch
  • We regularly hold offline events like team meetings, big corporate parties, and informal office parties.
  • We also regularly organize fun competitions, quizzes, hackathons, and online fitness challenges.
  • We have a merch store with an internal currency you can use to buy unique gifts. We give out this currency as a gift for significant dates, and you can earn more by participating in events and company activities.
