Job Description

SimCorp is seeking a Business Controller to join their Finance Business Partnering division. The role involves overseeing services revenue, driving performance, value creation, and profitability. Responsibilities include managing the reporting process, budgeting and forecasting, analyzing complex business issues, presenting financial performance, and identifying process improvements. The ideal candidate will collaborate with finance and business stakeholders, possess strong analytical skills, and a structured approach to assignments. This is a hybrid role requiring 2-3 days per week at the Warsaw office.

WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT TO US

As Business Controller in the Finance Business Partnering division, you will be responsible for services revenue, you will be a key enabler for our Finance Business Partners, helping them drive performance, value creation, and profitability. The role is involved in close collaboration with the rest of the finance organization and requires being a critical team member in performing deep-dive analyses to understand complex business issues. You will apply your analytical capabilities and controlling mindset when preparing management reports, budgets, forecasts, and other deliverables, and will help drive the development of our finance processes, financial applications, and data.

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

  • Drive the management reporting processes, including forecasting & budgeting
  • Oversee services revenue from a financial perspective
  • Liaise with multiple stakeholders, including participating in meetings, making recommendations on forecast, and highlighting risks
  • Act as a representative of Finance to business stakeholders by presenting performance and assessing its impact on full-year results
  • Provide commentary on financial performance
  • Drive or contribute to finance, business initiatives and projects
  • Identify areas for improvement in processes and implement solutions to address deficiencies
  • Perform ad hoc analytical and controlling tasks

WHAT WE VALUE

  • At least 1 year of experience as a Business Controller, FP&A analyst, or in a similar finance role
  • Experience in revenue reporting, financial planning, management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and providing financial business support
  • Solid foundation in financial accounting and degree in finance
  • Advanced excel
  • Power Query & finance modeling is beneficial
  • Effective collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to bridge finance and business
  • A structured and analytical mindset with a disciplined approach to assignments
  • An eager attitude, a keen focus on prompt task completion, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a globally complex and shifting environment
  • Experience in organizing data and utilizing financial applications to enhance reporting and analytics
  • Audit background is beneficial
  • Fluency in spoken and written English
  • Amenable to work in a hybrid setup (2-3 days per week) at our Warsaw office
