Job Description
As a Business Finance Leader for Europe, the role involves overseeing all financial aspects of industry performance, including budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, analysis, reporting, and risk management, with a focus on enabling decision-making. The responsibilities include partnering with industry leaders, driving revenue forecasts, managing operations and profitability, and leading budgeting and forecasting processes. The candidate will also support pricing and negotiations, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure compliance. Key responsibilities include financial leadership for the European region, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives, execution of corporate strategy, and overseeing financial processes.
Must have:
- Senior financial leadership experience in a multinational corporation.
- Strong knowledge of international accounting standards, including US GAAP.
- Expertise in financial planning and budgeting
- Fluency in English and Czech is required.
Good to have:
- Knowledge of financial systems like S4HANA, SAP ECC 6.
- Good communication skills.
- Excellent MS excel knowledge.
- Knowledge of additional European languages is an advantage.

Job Details
As a leader of Business Finance - Europe, the person will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of industry performance, including budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, analysis, reporting, supporting pricing & negotiations and risk management, with a primary focus on enabling decision-making to maximize revenue, optimize gross profit and drive business growth by providing critical financial insights for business decisions. This role will be reporting into VP – Business Finance & Transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Partner:
Work closely with the industry, delivery and service line leaders on a day-to-day basis and provide insights to effectively manage their respective business areas. Support decision making by identifying necessary actionable steps in response to key financial and operational KPI variances.
- Revenue Planning & Forecast
Drive predictable revenue forecast for the immediate quarter and full year by working closely with the business. Drive regular review of growth initiatives with sales leaders and bring better predictability for renewals, extensions, expansions and new business both from existing and new customers. Work closely with the Business, Vertical and Delivery Leaders to support risk identification, alignment of growth initiatives and risk mitigation.
- Operations and Profitability:
Work closely with the delivery and talent management team to drive operational KPIs and linked financial outcomes. Driver Gross Profit improvement across delivery locations by identifying leakages and optimization initiatives. Maximize revenue and profitability by driving analytics and guiding sales & delivery with Sold vs Actual gross margins, Book & burn leakages, timesheet discipline, bench sizing, talent hiring cost, resource level optimization, pyramid rationalization etc. Drive operational discipline by working closely with sales, delivery and PMO including timesheet closures, Revenue finalization, SoW sign ups, fulfilment planning and gap mitigation etc.
- Budgeting & Forecasting:
Drive budgeting process for Revenue and Gross Profits, creating detailed budgets for Industries in close co-ordination with Business, Vertical and Delivery leaders and monitoring performance against those budgets, making necessary adjustments as needed.
- Pricing & Negotiations
Support leaders in driving pricing for large deals and representing company in negotiating contractual terms.
- Cross Functional team player
- Partner with Controllership (Finance & Accounts) team to ensure Statutory Compliances and Reporting.
- Drive and promote One Ness culture by globalization of Finance function and alignment with global processes, policies and systems while ensuring compliance with local requirements across regions.
- Working closely with Delivery, Sales, Talent Acquisition, L&D and other functions to align with organizational goals.
- Work closely with Corporate Planning team to align with the organization targets for revenue and gross profits and work closely with pricing and deal review team to share business insights and support in delivering pricing commitments.
- Regional Leadership:
- Provide financial leadership for the European region, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
- Execution of corporate strategy and ensuring robust financial governance.
- Lead and facilitate organizational transformation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and business performance.
- Oversee financial processes, ensuring optimal cash-flow management
- Lead budgeting, financial planning, forecasting and monthly reporting for European region
- Act as a key financial approver to costs and ensure risk assessment
- Partner with Europe Finance Controller in Regional Financial Management and Reporting
- Standardize and optimize financial process across multiple European jurisdictions to drive efficiency and compliance.
- Ensure adherence to international and local financial regulations, including US GAAP and regional accounting standards.
- Assess and mitigate financial risks while ensuring sound internal controls and corporate governance practices.
- Partner and drive financial closing processes and support in audits and financial reconciliations to maintain data integrity, accuracy and adherence to timelines
- Drive adherence to corporate risk management frameworks and audit protocols.
- Support compliance with local tax regulations, statutory requirements, and corporate policies.
- Partner with Finance controller in implementing strong internal controls and support data requirements for audits (internal audits /external audits).
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Proven experience in a senior financial leadership role within a multinational corporation.
- Strong knowledge of local and international accounting standards, including US GAAP
- Demonstrated expertise in financial planning, budgeting, and risk management across multiple jurisdictions.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working in a regulatory-heavy environment, ensuring compliance with financial and corporate governance requirements.
- Fluency in Czech and English is required; knowledge of additional European languages is an advantage.
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a local chartered accountant/ ACCA)
- Knowledge of financial systems – S4HANA, SAP ECC 6
- Good communication skills, excellent MS excel knowledge
- English and Czech language proficiency
