Job Description

As a Case Specialist, you will support Business Leaders in delivering HR processes and policies related to Discipline, Grievance, Performance Management, Capability, and informal resolution. You will utilize various tools, including Company Policies, Workday, and Empactis. Responsibilities include upskilling people leaders, guiding them through relevant processes, providing business insights, and driving compliance and improvement activities. You will conduct investigations, support disciplinary hearings, support people leaders with conflict issues, train and guide leaders in case management, produce data analysis, identify lessons learned, drive compliance, identify legal challenges and resolutions, and identify policy changes based on legal updates.
Must have:
  • Degree in Business or HR or equivalent experience
  • Case Management experience
  • Experience in managing discipline, grievance, and conflict issues
  • Ability to manipulate and present data
  • Comfortable with tools including Excel, PowerPoint, Word
  • Good working knowledge of HR processes and relevant IT systems
  • Well-developed customer and relationship management skill set
  • Ability to influence people leaders effectively

Case Specialist

Derby, UK

Derby/Hybrid – minimum 3 days on site per week

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Case Specialist to join the team in Derby.

 

As a Case Specialist, you will support Business Leaders in the delivery of HR processes and policies around Discipline, Grievance, Performance Management, Capability and informal resolution.  You will use a number of tools to support you in the role such as Company Policies, Workday and Empactis. You will be required to upskill people leaders, support and guide people leaders in all relevant process and provide the business regular business insights and drive compliance to process and improvement activities.

What you will be doing:

In this role you will be responsible for providing support to Line Managers to enable HR processes to be executed efficiently and effectively supporting the HR operating model. You will also;

  • Conduct investigations and support disciplinary hearings under the Disciplinary Procedure and supporting Line Managers with Grievances raised by Employees
  • Support people leaders with conflict issues and driving a speedy resolution
  • Train, support and guide leaders in all aspects of Case Management
  • Produce Trends and Analysing data for all Business area on various Employee Relation aspects
  • Responsible for identifying lessons learnt on all processes and identifying and implementing improvements
  • Driving compliance and continuous improvement in all relevant policies, procedures and practice
  • Identify legal challenges and resolutions
  • Identify policy and procedure changes based on legal updates

  • Degree qualified in a Business or HR Discipline or equivalent experience
  • Case Management experience
  • Experience in managing discipline, grievance, and conflict issues through the process
  • Articulate, numerate with the ability to manipulate, and present data as required
  • Comfortable around key tools including Excel, PowerPoint, Word
  • Good working knowledge of HR processes and the relevant IT systems to support those processes, Workday would be an advantage
  • Well-developed customer and relationship management skill set
  • Ability to influence people leaders effectively in a business environment
  • Problem solving approach to process improvement
