Purpose & Need

Part of Patel, Greene and Associates’ (PGA) mission is “to elevate our communities.” We pursue that goal, in part, through the innovative and responsible design of our transportation network. PGA’s Traffic engineers and designers analyze and identify opportunities to improve safety and alleviate congestion within our growing communities. The ideal candidate for this Chief Engineer position is ready to leverage their many years of professional experience and embrace a mentorship position, serving as a subject matter expert (SME) to their team and sharing knowledge and guidance to deliver outstanding projects to our clients. PGA prides itself on putting its staff first; enjoy a robust PTO and benefits package including generous insurance coverages, 401k retirement plan options, and health savings account options. 

What You’ll Do

  • Demonstrate complete mastery of traffic-ITS design concepts.
  • Contribute to marketing efforts and developing approaches to project pursuit.
  • Lead quality control efforts within the Traffic-ITS Group.
  • Complete tasks and projects within supervisor’s expectations.
  • Requires no technical supervision.
  • Ability to direct and mentor younger staff.
  • Maintain responsible charge on projects and tasks as assigned.

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent from an ABET Accredited University
  • 20 years of progressively more complex post-registration engineering experience. 
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE)

What You’ll Bring

  •  A technical expert in the professional field
  • Capable of leading a group of technical employees with multiple assignments
  • Ability to work with across other disciplines (roadway, structures and drainage, landscape, etc.) to identify and reduce design conflicts
  • Exceptional verbal communications skills and the ability to interact with a variety of clients 
  • Exceptional attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team on deadline-driven activities
  • Exceptional skill in working with Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and other Office Products
  • Exceptional ability to perform multiple tasks in an organized manner and concurrently and at 
    the direction of PGA’s Leadership Team
  • A proven leader including mentoring other staff.
