Job Description

The Children's Literature Segment Coordinator will be responsible for researching, identifying, and promoting the development of products in the Children's and Young Adult Literature line. This includes managing the product lifecycle from launch to delisting, developing and executing marketing strategies for both the school market and consumer market nationally and internationally. The role also involves planning and executing PR strategies and coordinating various events related to children's and young adult literature, such as fairs, presentations, meetings with authors, and schools. The coordinator will also be involved in creating and managing the launch plans of the annual editorial plan LIJ, creating competitive long-term strategies for the segment and analyzing market and the competition.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Literature, Public Relations or related field.
  • Intermediate to advanced B1-B2 English level.
  • At least 5 years of marketing experience.
  • 5 years of experience in literary, educational, publishing market.
Good to have:
  • Experience in Public Relations in the literary field (preferably).
  • Knowledge of social networks and the web at an intermediate user level.

Objetivo del puesto:

Investigar, identificar e impulsar el desarrollo de los productos de la línea de Literatura Infantil y Juvenil. Gestionar el ciclo de vida de los productos desde el lanzamiento hasta la descatalogación, desarrollando y ejecutando estrategias de mercadotecnia tanto para el mercado escolar (planes lectores) como el de consumo a nivel nacional e internacional. Planear y ejecutar las estrategias de RRPP así como la coordinación de los distintos eventos vinculados principalmente con la literatura infantil y juvenil  como son ferias, presentaciones, encuentros con autores y escuelas.

Funciones y Responsabilidades Principales:

  • Elaborar y gestionar los planes de lanzamiento del Plan editorial anual LIJ

  • Crear estrategias competitivas a largo plazo para el segmento

  • Análisis de mercado y la competencia

  • Implementación de tácticos y estrategias off y on-line para el mercado nacional y de exportaciones.

  • Desarrollo de materiales y estrategias de comunicación interna para fuerza de ventas.   

  • Implementación del plan de comunicación a clientes (clientes, distribuidores, colegios, padres de familia) para incrementar la lealtad a la marca.

  • Coordinar, gestionar y asistir a eventos relacionados con la Literatura Infantil y Juvenil dentro de la república.

  • Colaborar en el desarrollo de los planes de capacitación Académica para clientes y fuerza de ventas.

  • Elaboración de materiales para punto de venta, promo packs y material para fuerza de ventas.  

  • Gestionar la implementación y correcta ejecución de la elaboración catálogos promocionales.

Experiencia, habilidades y conocimientos

Esenciales/Excluyentes:

  • Licenciatura en: Marketing, Literatura, Relaciones públicas o afín

  • Nivel de inglés B1-B2 intermedio avanzado

  • Experiencia en marketing de por lo menos 5 años

  • Experiencia en el mercado literario, educativo, editorial y de planes de estudio (preferentemente) de por lo menos 5 años

  • Experiencia en coordinación y manejo de ferias y eventos literarios 

  • Experiencia en el manejo de stock y pedidos para las librerías

  • Manejo de Microsoft 365, principalmente Powerpoint y Excel (nivel intermedio)

  • Conocimiento de Tecnología de información y comunicación aplicada a la educación.

  • Manejo de indicadores de desempeño.

  • Conocimiento y manejo de CRMs para organización de proyectos

  • Competencias: Alto nivel de organización, capacidad de manejo de múltiples proyectos al mismo tiempo, pensamiento creativo, solución de problemas, construcción de relaciones, atención al detalle.

Deseables/No excluyentes:

  • Experiencia en RRPP del medio literario (preferentemente)

  • Conocimiento redes sociales y web a nivel de usuario intermedio.
